Fifteen minutes from the airport, the Weilong Hotel provides attractive, business-standard accommodation close to the city center. A ten-minute walk from Dongfeng and Jin Bi Squares, this property is handy for glimpsing the colorful urban life of Kunming, while enjoying easy transport to greener spots like Yunnan Ethnic Village and Dianchi Lake. Rooms in the Weilong Hotel are pleasantly decorated with city views and internet access. Guests who like affordable Jade jewelry with their traditional Chinese architecture should walk to the nearby Golden Horse and Phoenix Gate on Jin Bi road, where the jewelry market is reputed to be the largest in Asia. Weilong Hotel serves a breakfast buffet, but other than that there are no restaurants, karoke lounges, or a nightclub at the hotel.

The Weilong Hotel is a conveniently located hotel located south of Green Lake and west of the heart of downtown Kunming. It is an easy walking distance (2 blocks) to a large pedestrian shopping mall spotted with department stores and USA fast food franchises. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. While the rooms were large, the beds were very hard and the room upkeep was not the best. There is currenly major construction going on just outside the hotel.
