Overrated Hotel, it should be only 1-2 stars

I strongly don't recommend to anyone else, they rated themselve as 4 stars, so I'd expected that for my friends who are businessmen, but it's very very dirty inside the rooms and all around the building especially toilet as well as stupid service from the receiption. Nothing worth to my money. No more for this hotel.
If any one don't trust me , you can try the 4-star hotel as they rated themselve. But if they rate themselve as 1-2 star hotel. I will not complaint so much like this for sure.

It is a large and old hotel in the city. But now Floor 6-12th have been rented for other business use. You won't expect good bell boy service or catering. But it is just located behind the airport express bus station and very close to train station. And also considering the very good price, what you can say?
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Because of the construction of subway, the traffice jam take place in the daytime. you cannot easy get a bus or even a taxi!

This hotel is located behind another hotel so has no direct access to the street which makes it hard for taxi drivers to find. The staff is not helpful. The room was dirty including mold around the tub, stained carpet, trash on the floor. The view was of back alleyways. When my companion and I asked for a taxi, they directed us to a group of the porter's friends who were hanging around who drive illegal taxi's - the kind who don't use meters and so you're at their mercy for the price. It was near the bus station, a very poor section of the city with no good restaurants around. At a fender-bender car accident at the intersection, we witnessed a policeman punching one of the drivers through the open window - a real classy section of town! My advice is to stay away from this dump.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Head to the other side of town to the area near the University. It's a beautiful, old section of town with a wonderful park, the flower and bird open air market, and some other pretty sights. There are some good restaurants and bakeries as well.

The best thing about the hotel was the bus transportation service ready outside the hotel to the airport with only RMB25 per person. Beside the hotel is very close to the railway station. Other than that it wasn't the good option to stay in this hotel.
The hotel is not located at the city center and it neither nearby to the kunming tourist areas. The room and facilities in it were old, carpet was very dirty and bed smell bad especially the pillow. Room wasn't maintain in good condition nor acceptable condition. Worse still the front desk staffs were not friendly and never smile at guests.
My advice to all travellers, if you need to transit with trains, you can consider this location and there are many other hotels nearby. If you are looking for the walking distance for shopping or close distance to other tourist areas, you may consider get a hotel at Nanping street, it will definately safe you a lot of taxi fares.

Near to Kunming train station & have a bus ticket counter in front of the hotel, no problem to get transport

Very near to Kunming Train Station and have a bust ticket counter outside the hotel. Easy to find food around the area, just a few minutes walk.
The hotel is clean with great environment. Most of the common utilities provided (such as tootbrush & paste, towel, etc.)
However, the toilet door (made of glass) was stuck which we unable to close/open it.Hotel staff not that friendly.
Overall rating is moderate.

About 400m to the train station. not nearby shopping area or main attraction. Need to hop into a taxi to get to the main shopping street. Not many choices of food, or great food - simple and basic ok. The hotel share the same lift with offices who are located at lower floor. Occasionally there are workers moving furnitures in and out of the lift for the offices.
Room size is great. Plenty of hot water. No heater though. Therefore please do not expect to have a warm room during winter.
