The hotel is in a great location and features good services with a fine, dedicated staff who does its best to provide guest comfort.
The hotel has a problem with the design of bottom shower stall door rails. Water cannot drain away, allowing the grooves to develop mold. Similarly, areas around taps develop build ups of residue.
This peculiar hotel provides fine service in a convient location close to the Qingdao waterfront and the old German town. Some English language services are available at the front desk. The hotel appears to be co-located with an old German prison which sports a distinctive round, castle like tower. The entire hotel and prison are inside a court yard-like compound acessible by taxies. The main dining area is outside under cover as is the adjacent resting area. The Chinese cuisine is impressive and veried with much sea food, presented by a superb kitchen staff and served by dedicated waitresses. An indoor self service breakfast area is available in the morning from 7.30 to 9.30 AM. The rooms are comfortable and are well serviced with air conditioning, insect control, free internet access, sit down flush toilets and an enclosed shower area. Room service is good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Much of the old German town is within walking distance while the nearby waterfront pathway makes for great jogging or romantic evening walks.
