Recently renovated, this well known hotel is a competitor in the high end hotels for Qingdao. The Equatorial Restaurant has candle light dinners to charm guests, while the Etoile Pastry Counter serves home made cakes and baked breads. The Travelers pub is a night club, and the Lobby Lounge is open for fresh brewed coffee and drinks. There is also the Equinox Pool bar which serves drinks and wine. If that is not enough Carrefour and Jusco are very close by. Hotel facilities include the Equinox Fitness Center, an indoor swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a massage salon, and even a bicycle rental center. Rooms come with broadband internet, king sized beds, queen sized goose down pillows and blankets. This is a well managed hotel and is a competitor for its price range. and submit.

Very roomy, very clean, and a great location
Price was high, and everything costs money - even internet is not free.
I only spent one night in at the Copthorne Hotel because I needed to rush up to Qingdao, and since all the hotels were booked for the beer festival, I had no choice in booking rooms. The place was really great, but so expensive. If you're a business man/woman, this is the place for you.
Shopping Tip : There is a Carrefour right across the street and you can get all you need there. Taxi fare from the hotel is always cheap.

Hotel is very well located near the centre of Qingdao. The hotel has recently had a revamp and consquently is clean and well fitted. Very comfortable large Bedroom with views of the construction next door!Staff ere efficient if not over friendly.
The hotel advertises a night club as one of its features and it simply does not have one.Its totally devoid of nightlife and not close to anything. The hotel has no views to speak off.
Hotel is basically a reasonably modernised 4 star hotel in a central area of Qingdao.It is good value.The rooms are very good being spacious and well furnished and the breakfasts were good. Staff are efficient but not very friendly, only a few speak good English. No complaints really but its heartless and dead at night.There are other hotels nearer the waterfront that I would try next time.
Nightlife Tip : There isnt any nearby unless your gay!

Managed by singaporen group, verity of foods suitable for Asian traveler, good location.Friendly staff.
room is normal like most of the 3-4 Star hotel room in china. Bed sheet is not soft. a bit old.
Valued for money. the location is the new territory , walking distance to sea side where the 2008 olympic yatch held, taxi takes 20 min to old town. The room is normal standard. 2 mins to Shangri-la hotel. Many banks surround.The food is normal. staffs are friendly. worth to stay though.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : visit the " QingTao beerted factory" and old church located in old town. Walk by the sea side.
