perfect relaxing holidays with a lot of sun

We had a perfect time at this hotel. It is directly at the beach with a lot of space and room to walk along the beach to have some quite times. The pool area is enormous but if you look for quite holidays it might be not the best choose due to many families and shouting kids. For families therefor it is like paradise. When you book online be aware the sea view room is not really a sea view because there is a huge construction side going on therefore it is worth to spend a little more for the garden view. The rooms are very nice and large. Internet wireless connection is slow and could be much better but available in the lobby area. Food in the hotel restaurant too expensive. Never order a Angus Tenderloin Steak too much fat and too tiny . But overall a great hotel and we will for sure go back.

Excellent! One of The Best Hotel I Have Stayed!

Will just start with what could have been improved...
Mosquitoes were everywhere - restaurant, outdoor grill, swimming pools, beach etc. Hotel could seriously invest in some mosquito control measures.
No currency exchange facility - the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere and we had little RMB. There is an ATM but it was under maintenance.
Staff - besides Anne at the front desk, staff at the concierge and 2 Singaporean interns we met, the rest could do with more smiles on their faces.
Wifi - although free, reception was little or none at most times.
Elevators - no ventilation nor air-con
The good stuff...
Despite the above-mentioned flaws, the hotel is still worth every dollar & cent. Thanks to its remote locality, there wasn't any congested view from the hotel room. As ours faced the north, there was unobstructed view for over 4 or 5 km. I have lost count of the number of pools they have - from hotspring pools to wading pool to lap pool etc. There were abundant lazy sofas, cozy twosome couches and stylish sundeck chairs sprawled all over among the pools. The landscape and grass are very well maintained. From the beach, the hotel building looks very majestic and grand. It helped that we met 2 Singaporean interns who were very helpful and friendly. Overall, we felt out-of-this-world in Haitang Gloria Bay Hotel. We ditched plans to visit Wuzhizhou island just to spend more time in the hotel.
