Hotel staff were friendly and attentive, however very little English spoken. Stayed in Executive room, which was big, bright and very comfortable. Quality of Western food was very poor (typical for a Chinese run hotel). Resorted to eating out for all meals. Good location, right on the beach - although at end of beach, swimming better in the middle of the bay, only a 5 minute walk further along. Outdoor swimming pool was well equipped and drinks price reasonable. Would recommend it as a Value For Money Hotel.

A nice place, but it is not a fourstar hotel. Rather basic all together, actually. Personal speak little or none english, but this is not really a problem. Good prices if you compare with Europe.

i visited sanya recently for a conference and stayed at the landscape beach hotel (liking beach resort is the sign on the hotel) for 3 days. they have very beautiful and clean rooms, well maintained lounge and good conference halls. the service is very good and quick although language is a problem. however, you can get what you need with the correct hand gestures and there is always someone at the front desk who can speak a little english. i would definitely recommend this hotel for business as well as personal trips with family.
Shopping Tip:
Bargain openly with shopkeepers and taxi drivers. It costs about 70 - 90 yuan by taxi from the airport to the hotel. Start at less than half the price that they quote for shopping, and you will end up paying about 60% of the original price.
