Stunning room with equally stunning views over the bay. Western restaurant has a great range of food & wines. Staff are excellent A bit of a hike to the local restaurants I had never been to Hainan before so did not know what to expect. On booking this hotel, I made the decision to opt for a deluxe room and I was really pleased that I did. The room that we had was actually on two floors; the lower floor being a living area complete with kitchen dining room and lounge. The upper floor featured a bedroom, office area and an absolutely huge bathroom. Each floor had a balcony and the views were fantastic. The hotel arranged for a car and driver at a cost of only 100 Rmb for each day. We ate in the retaurant on two evenings and found that the food and service were really good. Also, the breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice and the opportunity to eat overlooking the infinity pool stretching out towards the bay. A great hotel with great staff.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Ask the hotel to arrange for a car & driver for a day or two. This is a great and very convenient way to get around and its amazingly cheap. If the driver offers to take you to a floating seafood restaurant you should politely decline as it was expensive and very poor quality in a very questionable place.

Great pool, friendly staff, great location Service charges in business center high The hotel is split into several neighbouring buildings. The pool is located at the highest building w a great view. Beach is 5 mins walk, and they also have shuttle golf cars to and from the beach.
Rooms are nice standard, clean. Aircondition didnt work, but after a call to frontdesc, it was fixed immediately. Great ocean view from our balcony.
Not all employees were English speaking, but enough were to make it not a problem. Very friendly staff, junior manager (who also spoke German) was a great help for anything.
All in all great value, and if I want to stay close to Sanya beach (Dadonghai bay)another time, I would have no hesitation in staying here again. In fact, I think I would choose to do so.
Restaurant Tip : Go down to the beach boardwalk, best food is the Thai restaurant Pathaya (they have Tiger beer on draft), afterwards continue east along boardwalk for drinks and live music at the place where the waiters wear sailor caps. They also have more western food if you want spaghetti or club sandwich for lunch plus local ANCHOR beer on draft.

Nice sea view, not far from the beach. Hotel 'golf car' will take you to the pool and beach. We stayed at the 'old' building. This part of the hotel is rather 2 star than 4 star. In our room there was terrible smell coming from the bathroom sewer from time to time. Hotel is next to Dadonghai beach which is far nicer than the bigger beach in front of Sanya city. The hotel was ok, but the pictures in Agoda were only from the new, very nice, VIP building, and our rooms were in an older building. Also the pool is at the new building. This was a disappointment since the older buildings are not something you expect from a 4 star hotel. Also the breakfast at the 'old' building was very simple, not much for a European or for a vegetarian. There was better breakast at the VIP building, although it cost a little more. You can't say many good comments about the restaurant in the VIP building, since they cannot make drinks they have in the list, and also many of the foods were a disappointment.
