- A lot of Chinese in Hawaian shirts and drunk Russians everywhere
- Hotel staff has no English skills and it takes ages to get something
- Everything is overpriced - the 0.3L bottle of beer costs $5 dollars
- Nothing to see around I have visited a lot of tropical island places and this one is the worst of them. In case if you still want to visit Hainan, do not stay in Sanya but rather go to distanced hotels. This will give you far better experience and save your money.
Travel tip : When you buy something in the shops divide all prices by 2 or 3 and start negotiating the price. The same with taxis.

The hotel has its own private beach which was well maintained and fantastic The location was very isolated, it is at the end of Yalong Bay. There wasn't anything to do at night since it was far away from any happening places. The hotel was quite decent. I got a room by the lake and it comes with a small court yard which I enjoy. I would spend the cooling evening at the court yard reading a book and drinking a cup of tea. I was there over the Christmas weekend and the temperature was about 20 degree C. So it was really nice to be outside. We had our Christmas eve dinner by the poolside, it was a barbecue buffet, the spread was fantastic. However, we wished that the service staff would be more proactive as we got to yell to get the staff attention and waited for a while to get the service we wanted. But, it was still a nice place to be at.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Taking a bus to attractions could be a cheaper option

Great location, nice service, great restaurant, enjoyable atmosphere I thoroughly enjoyed my vacation to Universal resort and would recommend the experience to all.
Restaurant Tip : Try out the area near the Crown plaza hotel. There is a lot of good food there.
