Close to beach, friendly staff, close to shopping and restaurants.

Stay was ok. Nothing special. Mostly Chinese clients. English was minimal but a small amount of Chinese would get you by. Good pool and a short walk across the street to the beach. Shopping and restaurants we a 10 min walk. Definitely not the nicest on the strip of beach but good value for money if your planning on being on the beach most of the time.

A Pleasant Hotel for a Beach Visit
(1) Beach staff are great at providing chairs and keeping the hotel area tidy; (2) Meals are very high quality and good value; (3) The room was very attractive and the bed was very comfortable.

Office staff had enough English to make check-in and check-out smooth. Staff were generally very gracious and helpful. We liked the restaurant so much, we had most of our meals there. The shower was very well-designed and a pleasure to use, especially separated from the sink and WC.
The reasons we wouldn't call the place 5-star: (1) No wireless internet in the room and the LAN was very slow; (2) Very small amount of bottled water provided; (3) No in-room coffee supplied although tea was available (at a charge I believe). With a Canadian viewpoint, a 5-star is expected to be very luxurious with exceptional facilities. Not calling this 5-star should not be viewed as a criticism. We very much enjoyed the hotel and would certainly go there rather than anywhere else at Yalong Bay. Excellent value for money.

Great stay in a lovery location with great views, this is by far the best water views on island, 2 rooms, seperate bedroom and living room, just grat all round.

stayed in hotel for 5 days recently. new and modern hotel, well-layout rooms with seperate bath and toilets. good breakfast buffet set, and in-house chinese restaurant. short proximity to private beach. free wifi in lobby. only complaint is lots of mosquitoes in hotel room. will definitely consider staying in hotel next time.

excellent hotel in a scenic spot!
compared to other hotels in this area, i would say it is the best location. close to the beach: you just need to cross the road, beach is not crowdy and sunbeds with towels are always available. restaurant has a patio with nice view on a lake. whole hotel site is well organazied, has two pools.
staff of the hotel is very helpful, but unfortunately few people speak english.
compared to other chinese hotels tianhong has comfortable beds in the room. as many other chinese hotels there is just a frosted glass wall between bathroom and bedroom. but i find this organization of space quite useful.
and one more word about the beach, but it's common thing for all hotels in this area. all hotels have private beach, which doesn't mean restricted entrance to the beach, but means availability of sunbeds for you as a guest and small restricted swimming area. if you swim outside rescuer will whistle - very annoying. that's only one thing we disliked during our stay here.
Hotel Feature Tip:
we stayed in the garden view room, which was really nice, but the road was not so far. if you expect very quite room it may not be so, but view on the garden is really nice.
restaurant is expensive (maybe not fo you:) and maybe you will need to walk around 10 minutes to a square with shoping center and restaurants which are little bit cheaper. don't expect cheap food in yalong bay.
