A great boutique hotel in a very good location

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were very friendly and the room size was great. We loved the decor of the hotel, particularly our room. The location was fantastic and we enjoyed the deck area which overlooked the trees in the park. It was very peaceful even though it was in a busy area.

great! wish the bathrooms were bigger...loved the skylight- though I did not know how to open the covering. I loved that they serve illy. Only flaw- was served a cappuccino cold once, but quickly corrected it.

Home away from home

This hotel is like a little studio apartment away from home. We stayed on the 7th floor (top) and enjoyed the natural light from the large skylight and windows. Our room had a large balcony overlooking a park. The staff allowed us a 4pm checkout at no charge which was very welcome and perfect for our 8pm flight. Attention to detail was superb with things like a handwritten welcome note from the manager, fresh fruit delivered after checkin, a newspaper on the door in the morning, a seperate sink for washing dishes etc in, a coffee percolator etc.

Overall the stay was great. The location and accommodation are top notch and it was perfect for our vacation. We were disappointed with the service in the cafe. The food tasted good but on the first day our omelet was not cooked thoroughly and ingredients were not what we ordered. Every day we ordered from the menu, our food came out with one or more ingredients or sides missing from what was described on the menu. Overall it was a very minor issue and I only point it out because it was clearly not the norm for the hotel. Once the manager returned from vacation things were run much tighter and our breakfast experience took a turn for the better. I would definitely go back here in a second, its just a shame that the manager can't step away for a couple of days.

the hotel location is great and convenient, just among Xintendi so by walk in 2 or 3 minutes you may reach various restaurants and shops.

The hotel is simply located at Xintiandi which you can drop by for a coffee or a beer anytime. The room is very nice and comfortable. It's in very tradition Chinese style. However, breakfast is a bit disppointed with limited choices.

Finally an hotel that stands out!

Additionally to be ideally located near to many "hot spots" of Shanghai, the hotel is clean spatious and tries to stand out.
The breakfast was good and variety of food served.
Too bad i cam during the winter time as could not check then the terrace that must be very pleasant in the summer or mid season!

our recent stay was a repeat, as our first experience earlier this year made this hotel the obvious choice. the staff are friendly, most of whom speak very good english, and are always ready to offer suggestions and solutions to guest-needs. being within the xintiandi area, it is safe, with security guards visible yet holding their distance. this makes going for late evening walks pleasant. the in-built adaptor plugs on the study table also makes charging your multitude of devices so easy. my wife had problems with wifi connectivity on her tablet device, using ios 6, and the concierge intalled a wireless router in our room for free! and wifi problem solved for the 4 days we were there. will certainly return.

I loved the decoration chinese style, the hotel is well sitaued and when travelling with kids during business trip, it is very child friendly with a great terrace, spacious rooms, well situated in the middle of Xintiandi, with lake view or view of the pedestrian street. We simply enjoyed our stay.
