Couples United Kingdom, May 01, 2013	the staff make this hotel staff, staff, staff 8 The staff make this hotel, always going that extra step to help out (e.g. when we needed a sim card, coming with us to the seller to translate; when we needed a hotel in another city, offering to look one out for us). This hotel is sometimes billed, as being in the French Concession. It's actually a couple of kilometers south of there. That's not a huge problem, as cabs are cheap and plentiful in Shanghai, but be aware that you won't be walking out of the door onto leafy streets. Also, rooms on the fourth floor (accessed up the stairs and through the roof garden) don't have wifi, only ethernet cable, which may be a problem for those with smartphones or macs. There is wifi in public areas of the hotel though.

Families with young children Australia, April 03, 2013	Have stayed here 4 times now & will return Staff are very friendly & helpful, 2 subways are within 500-600 meters walk and the beddings are super comfortable. 8.7 The Chinese management should be congratulated as all of the staff seem very happy to be working here. After reading some of the other reviews; 5 star whingers will always find something to complain about in a 3 star hotel. I really like the free breakfast, it's simple western or Asian and it gets the body fuelled up & going. The only issue is finding it for the first time, it's hidden behind a kindergarten and a residential building off Wanping Lu.
