taxi drivers not familiar with the hotel, had to call to get directions

One night stay at the hotel, just for a quick lay-over in Shanghai. Overall impressions was very good, I would definitely stay there again. I’m not sure how good the location is because I did not have much time to explore given I only intended a stay there to catch some sleep. The room itself was clean and a lot more spacious then I expected in comparison to some other hotels in China. Good points: clean, rather new, spacious, cool A/C, helpful staff(I speak mandarin). Bad points: taxi drivers were not familiar with the hotel so had to call to get directions. Considering the price $50 for one night, this was an excellent experience

the price

small lobby;poor-trained staff,

i booked a business suite for 4 nights. the room is quite big.cleanliness is okay,acceptable level. the location is not in the center of lujiazui;however,the taxi is cheap in shanghai,still convenient. the lobby is very small, it's more like a service apartment than a hotel. not all the staff in the front desk speak english,and they tried to charge the internet service, RMB60/per day.i argued with them, so they gave me free. i ate once in the restaurant for lunch.it's not cheap,compared to the restaurant outside of the hotel. food is cantonese style - dim sum for lunch time.can't say food is good, just okay. i don't think i'll stay in the hotel again.not very impressive. the price i paid i can find a service apartment in the city center.

The bed is comfortable, not the hard mattress types most hotels in China have. The suite we had was nice: there was a kitchenette, too! The view onto the street and river was nice as well.

Near a lot of slimy massage places. There is not much other nightlife that goes on outside of the hotel, except for the massage places. The hotel staff understand and speak very limited English.

I would stay at this hotel again. It took us almost 30 minutes to get there by taxi from the Maglev, due to traffic, so plan accordingly.
