We stayed a whole family, 3 generations, for one week, and Belgravia was a perfect base for exploring Shanghai, close to transportation and many attractions. English speeking, helpfull staff, kitchen, where we could make breakfast and lunch, two bathrooms.
The kitcen could be better equipped, there were only cutlery and dishes for 4 persons in this apartment for 6 persons

Creepy old apartment building in a good location

is this a hotel? i think we were the only guests. i think there were some russian guests and i think all others were chinese people who live there full-time. the place was mostly empty but the lobby was cold, uninviting and seemed like an old folks' home. i wouldn't even give this place 3 stars. it was just weird. every time we left, a little alarm went off to notify the front desk that we were leaving - even once at 8 pm we went out and when we got back, the apartment had been cleaned. strange that maids would be there that late. the best part, though, was that it had a working washer/dryer and kitchen so we could run to the little store around the corner and get food to make dinner and drink cheap wine in a place with good heat and decent tv reception.

There was a lot of space in this apartment. The bedrooms were comfortable and the lounge are well appointed. The kitchen area was good except that there was no cutlery, plats or cooking equipment. It is unusual for an apartment with cooking area not to have these items.
It was easy to walk to the Metro and the receptionist called taxis as needed. The area was quiet. There were small shops nearby where food etc could be purchased.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Science Museum is just up the road, either one stop away by Metro or a pleasant walk.

The bed was not so good. The mattress is very hard. But, when asked for, they quickly brought an additional thin mattress which solved the problem. So, the service is OK.
Shopping Tip:
There is a shopping-center with modern shops and all kinds of restaurants closeby (within 5' walk).

Great apartments if you like extra space

Great if you need the extra space to stretch out but the amenities are few.
If you want a pot or pan you have to pay extra. You would think a serviced apartment would have the basics like spoons, egg flipper etc but they don't.
I have been there twice because for me the location, size and price are terrific and thats my main concern.
I will be back for sure.
Shopping Tip:
Go to the Science & Technology Museum underground markets. It's a short walk or cab ride and the bargains are fun to haggle for.

Restaurant Tip:
there are halal food restaurant around the corner so is very convenience for our muslim friend.

i stay here for 4-5days and it is very comfortable. i go with my family including the elderly and they also like to stay here. very big one. near the metro so that it is convenient for us to go out.
