Best Location at the top of Bund
9.7
The room was spacious. The view was really excellent. Many newly wed couples were shooting photos on the bridge and along the river. The hotel is located close to Yu Yuan Garden.

we stayed at this hotel for two nights and the hotel is excellent in all aspects. The rooms ,view and near to the river or bund is excellent. Food is also good and it is very convieniently located. The major attractions and the city centre is also nearby and can be convieniently reached thru metro or taxi.Hotel staff is also very hospitable.

Lots of reasons to choose this hotel
beautifully maintained, very comfortable guest rooms and beds
8.7
This hotel is perfectly situated at the end of the Bund. It's a short walk to the scenery of the Bund and the Pudong and finding transportation to other locations was never a problem. The room was spotlessly clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable.
The hotel has a rich history, and offers many pluses, but if you're the type to be upset by a cracked tile in the shower, this may not be your place.
The room was very spacious, and the lobby was expansive and gorgeous. We were impressed with the quality of the linens, the service, and how quiet it was at night.
Our only slight disappointments were that breakfast is not included and is very pricey, and that they charge for wireless access in the rooms.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Many websites and reviews write that it's worth the extra money to have a river view. We opted not to do this, and it was fine, as we spent our time out walking along the river, and not gazing at it from the hotel room. If you want a spectacular view, go up to the 18th floor and have a drink on the rooftop patio. We spent a very pleasant evening up there, and were never sorry that we booked a "city view" room.

Fantastic location and is a lovely hotel to match
Its best feature is undoubtly its location...the view over the river at the Pudong skyline is magical!!
8.7
absolutely amazing location, really good service with good rooms. the breakfast was very nice and the view over the river was magical. definitely suggest a river view room otherwise you are missing the whole point of staying there. one of the better mid range hotels i have ever stayed in and would stay there again on my trips to shanghai.
Restaurant Tip:
The bund area is a little light on restaurants so before you go exploring for food in this area do your homework. Otherwise you will be stuck on Nanjing rd eating fast food.

Good location and convenient hotel
Good service and inving room

Although it is a boutique hotel, I thought the prizes for food in lobby and restaurant are a little overdone. It is a good hotel but not the absolute top of the bill
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Shanghai is just amazing!

Clean inside, Restaurants decent

We are a poor stay at the Broadway Mansions.
On to the room, the A/C did not work correctly and would never cool. On one occasion we csame home early from sight seeing we wanted to watch one of the movies on the TV... Needless to say it never worked we tried to book a movie for over an hour but failed. out of maybe 100 films i believe there were 2 available.
Even when we called for assistance for the TV and A/c, we had a lovely member of staff try both however he tried for 15 mins and appologised and said he can't help.
Overall, i found the desk staff at lobby unhelpfull especially as they said they would move us to the correct room within 2 days. We recieved a call a 10pm on our last night asking if we fancied moving rooms.
Regards
Tony

Great hotel with fantastic beds.
Rooms and beds were fantastic.
7.3
Hotel is fairly new so not so indicative of the Shanghai experience. There is nothing within walking distance so not suited for holiday travellers.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Ask concierge to translate all your destinations into chinese for the taxi drivers.
