Clean, English speaking front desk, Close location to Nanjing Lu. Cab drivers are not exactly sure of location. Rooms that we have stayed in have showers only, no bathtubs. We have been repeat visitors to Central View Suites. Always have been happy with the accomodations. We have never had a problem with the room in respect to cleanliness or items needing repair. Certainly, we will continue to use the Central View Suites for our return visits to Shanghai. It certainly is a good value.
Restaurant Tip : McDonald's and Starbucks are a few steps away from the hotel.

Great Location! Valued for money hardware! Choice for food & beverages service still skinny especially the room service menu It should be the 4th stay in 2009 with Central View Suites for me. Seems that the management did review on all the comments post on Agoda as they keep improving for whatever I commented before and I shall congratulate their management that this is the very first time I'm able to see some "smiling faces" from their staffs either at the Front Office or the Cafe, so keep it up and hopefully if they could getting better and better coz their location & hardware are both really great!
Shopping Tip : more & more shopping malls coming up around the hotels!

Price, location, cleanliness. Some taxis don't know the location. Make sure to have the address and maybe a map for the cabbie. Doorman service for late arrival seemed to be lacking. This was our second stay at the CVS. Our first stay was good and pleasant and this stay was the same. Therefore the service seems very consistant. Don't expect an extravagant lobby, but how much time does one spend in the lobby. The room was nice and clean and also very quiet. The staff was very helpful. Location is the key selling point here being right off of West Nanjing Lu. If the price continues to be reasonable, we will for certain return for the third stay.
Restaurant Tip : Element Fresh a block away in the Shanghai Center is always a good place to get a good western breakfast.
