I've stayed 4 nights on July. This hotel is the best to do sightseeing around the Shanghai City. Because the nearest subwey station 'RenMingGuangChang' is the transfer station. There is no problem on the hot water in bathroom, the lock of door, and other equipment. It is helpfull for me that the hotel man can use English too.
Near from the subway station of RenMingGuanChang.

Have a good stay there every time I go. There is a great bar across the road at the back of the hotel called "The Harbour Jacky." Behind the bar speaks good English and the boss also does. He is the guy smoking the pipe. Mention my name (Justin from Australia) and he will probably buy you a drink. A relaxed atmosphere, good music and people. If you are in for a good massage try "Joy Massage" on the corner near the bar. It is worth the one-hour and is most enjoyable. Food can't beat Nanjing Road. Restaurants galore as well as shopping.

When I arrived my luggage was misplaced but the assistant manager found it fairly quickly and upgraded my room. I found not enough staff spoke English which caused some stress but overall most staff friendly and helpful. Rooms due for refurbishment but still okay.

Very hard to find a money changer.
- Shopping Tip : Major deparment stores are located along East Nanjing. It's worth mentioning that shoes for men are worth buying and not to forget ladies' boots and winter jackets are also on sale.
