Although not completely finished with several floors still under construction, the hotel is nice, modern and new. The rooms are excellent and the staff nice and quite professional (that was until I had to call the front desk and request a late check-in, at which point I was met with poor English and immature giggling along with absolute stupidity). The buffet area was really cold but otherwise perfectly decent and very much a 5 star.
All in all a decent enough stay, but one thing that got me was the location. It's situated in a decent enough area, but it's miles out of the city and I'm not sure of the logic of having a hotel there - made no sense. If you are there to visit Shanghai, this is not the place to stay, you will spend a fair amount of money traveling to the city and back - we're talking 20 miles away
Restaurant Tip:
There is a half decent pizza place next to the hotel. The food is ok, but it's expensive when you consider it's an average place miles from the city centre
