Great design inside, art deco

The hotel is very clean and amazingly comfortable beds. For a hotel that is in the heart of the city will be my first choice. It's not a five star, but it's like living in the art deco aero. An old building with a lot of historical charatoristics.
Travel tip:
Even get two free breakfast from 6-10 am

Old style building best suited for longer stays
The style is very 1930's shanghai and the building is lovely

Older style property that has been renovated to look like a 1930's style apartments. Great fixtures and fittings but the hotel is quite hard to find. Not recommended for first time travelers to Shanghai but if you are comfortable taking the subway around town and know the city this is a good cheaper option rather than staying downtown.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to the park next door to the hotel in the evening to watch the local do western line dancing, very bizarre.

People had amazing behavior. the rooms are HUGe and the style is chinese elegant. i really want to visit again. it is a nice location 7 minutes from Metro line 1. quite usefull

great ambience but not easy to access

I think they remodeled a house into boutique hotel.
The style and ambience is excellent, however it is little bit far from the bund. i expected walk to french consession from here, it was a bit far to walk.
Strongly recommend to couples, travelers with enough time to enjoy the city.

a bit cheesy boutique in the middle of shanghai

room is quite big as my suite was 60 sq metre. old shanghai style mixed with modern boutique elements. comes up a bit cheesy but still comfortable.
Nightlife Tip:
all the pubs on the same road of hengshan road. also near all the posh residence and restaurant area.

The internet isn't the most reliable and though they have great old fashioned bath tubs, mine had really low pressure so i was unable to use it, shower worked fine though.

The hotel is just next to Shanghai Railway metro station making travels in Shanghai city very convenient.
Within the hotel vicinity, you can find several international fast-food outlets like MacDonalds, Ajisen, KFC etc
The hotel staffs are very helpful and friendly when I asked for directions to see old ancient places like Old Shanghai, Tianzifang and Qibao.
Unfortunately I find the breakfast buffet charge is too expensive at RMB 138.00++ for hotel guest.
