The location is the best thing about this hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the two years i have lived in China. It has slowly declined. I was charged over two hundred pounds in error as my desposit. It should have been 50 sterling. Staff thought it funny and I had to insist on documentation of the cancellation of this fee. Rooms smell musty and carpets are old.Not much choice for breakfast compared to other hotels.

We stay here for business quite often, beds are comfortable and rooms are quiet- its in a nice area to walk around and see the City and the sights. Great food and shopping also in the area. The Hotel is very accommodating and the Staff always helpful-- business center is great-

On main thoroughfare so taxis easily availab.Rooms comfortable.Pubs and restaurants closeby.Honquio Airport 20 minutes, Shanghai Railway Station 20 minutes ,Pudong Airport 60 minutes. Make sure you have card with Hotel address in Mandarin for taxi drivers , if stuck most know HILLTTONN (Hilton)Hotel , which is right next door.Food standard in hotel is western but has gone down in recent years--passable only.

good location but poor hotel
close to metro, the Centre and a few good restaurants

swimming was closed (in Feb) and this was not on the booking form. I choose hotels for breakfast and swimming, but arriving I was told that the pool was closed (and had been for 4 months already) and that I would have the 'executive' breakfast. The breakfast on the 26th floor was meant to be an apology but the food was hard and looked like it had been there a few days. The 'orange juice' tasted of cleaning materials.
I would stay next door in the Hilton next time!

It was Nice and the rooms are large, food was good. The only negative I can say about this hotel is that the front office staff & hotel staff at the lobby do not make an effort to smile or welcome you naturally, but when they see a white european or any caucasian greeting is automatic. There are exceptions though - like the housekeeping and the waiters are accomodtaing and smiling.

This is a cheaper option for a centrally located business hotel. It seemed quite busy with lots of Chinese visitors. Staff were friendly and attentive. I would use this again.
