Fantastic rooms and location

We stayed at the Pravo for 2 nights and found it great from the moment we walked in the door.
Very close to the Bund and other night spots in Shanghai.
Rooms are large and modern. Much better than many other 5 star hotels in Shanghai.

this hotel is situated just outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown shanghai, and yet is only a short walk to the gorgeous bund walkway, with breathtaking views across the river to the brightly lit skyline of pudong. the rooms are large and the beds and sofas in our regal suite were extremely comfortable. a welcome solace after a busy day hitting the sights and shops in the heart of the city. cab drivers are still not very familiar with its location on wu song road, but we always managed to find our way back even if the cabbies did vent their frustration at times about how to get there! the hotel provides its guests with handy name cards to show cabbies, which also includes the names of the main sights and shopping districts, such as yu gardens and xintainti. breakfast buffet was included with our package, and the variety for the chinese breakfast was quite good (congee with a wide range of condiments, noodles, and the like). staff were very helpful and spoke english reasonably well. security to our floor was also top notch with access only via swiping the guest cards in the lift. we were also impressed with the fast, complimentary wifi access in guest rooms and the fancy auto flush toilets. lighting in the bathroom was quite dim though and could be improved. all in all, a memorable stay.

hotel pravo is a hotel i will find it very hard not to return.
the size of the room, the amenities, the overall customer service and the ambience of the hotel is first class global standards surpassing the hiltons and the marriots. location was abit off from other areas but except this point, it was near perfect for everything on offer. absolutely over the top value for money

Fantastic, Excellent Hotel Stay

Hotel Pravo is fantastic with the exception of the hotel location further away from city areas. Everything else is absolutely value for money and first class. This hotel is delightful in many areas and thoughtful in the way the room was designed. Had dinner in the chinese restaurant one night and it was pretty good.
Restaurant Tip:
The chinese restaurant on the third floor has great food.

Excellent Hotel that is worth every single cent

the hotel basically was excellent all areas in terms of comfort level, hotel food though room gadgets were faulty at times and air-con temperature is fixed. the rooms are exactly the same as shown in the pictures in agoda. only exception was the total costly taxi fare we had to pay for each trip to go deeper into the city and the daily traffic jams during the evenings that jerked up the taxi costs.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Please try to leave the hotel before evening to avoid the peak hour jam in causing high taxi costs.

Close to Bund and value for money

we booked a large room for a reasonable price. our 3-year-old loved the big bathtub. he swam inside and refused to come out. he also enjoyed the warm toilet sit and most of all, he loved running in circles around the bathroom, which looks like an egg in the room.
the hotel's location is close to the bund but not within walking distance. but it's a short taxi ride to the center and to pudong.
as the hotel changed name recently, it's a little difficult to explain where the hotel is.
the breakfast was so so for the price, but staff were friendly. the chinese restuarant in the hotel is great but quite expensive.
overall, we'd like to recommend the hotel. we needed a big room for a super active kid.

we booked the regal suite on a flash deal that offered superb value. the hotel is relatively new, and i sense is still establishing itself. most taxi drivers do not know of it, so have the address written in mandarin. nevertheless, the quieter location is not a bad thing and you are still only a 5 min drive away from the bund. breakfast was below par in terms of quality and variety (perhaps partially due to low occupancy) and we sighted breakfast sausages being modified into a buffet dinner dish when we checked out the restaurant for a evening meal (that we did not end up booking!). the lobby can smell of smoke, but you get used to that being on the mainland. the gym and pool are still under construction, which has been mentioned in past reviews aswell. but to end on a good note, the staff are helpful.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Taxis in Shanghai are cheap, so save the legs but be sure to have your destinations written in Mandarin before heading out. The nearest Metro is North Sichuan Rd, a 10 minute walk away and enjoyable in the evening when street food is on show.
