The bedroom and bathroom very small and clamp , partition wall are able to listen all kind of activities outside the bedroom. Buffet breakfast reasonable provided , laoximen metro station is appr 10-12 minutes walk from the hotel.

27_degrees (80.6 F) in my room, no A/C.

It is end of April, quite warm, but the hotel decided not to turn on the central A/C. It is 27 celsius degrees in my room, and they only suggestion they had was to open up the windows .
On the positive side, the room and the hotel are nice.

please don't be impressed with the outer looks of this hotel and that is the only thing good about this hotel. this hotel must be graded as only 3* and not 4*. this is a very old hotel and the room furniture is tired! the rooms are divided by wooden partitions - you can hear all the noise from the other room. the house keeping is very bad, i have put "do not disturb sign" on the door and yet some one just entered my room with-out even knocking the door. the "place" for break-fast is like a mess-hall, the plates are collected in a trolley like a "mess-hall".very poor quality furniture in the "mess-hall". the quality of the food was poor and the varity was very limited. i have moved out of this hotel and spent other 3 nights in another 4* hotel with 5* services at a very reasonable price.

Good food, with variety of choices. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Near to most attractions- good for both leisure and business purposes.

The room was comfortable and I enjoyed stay. The staff was attentive to my concerns, even requesting translating some places we want to go-in Chinese. The food they served have varieties that cater to most nationalities. The hotel location was near to most attractions in Shanghai and other business destinations. also near the metro.
