very happy especially easy access to many nice restaurants and shopping departments. near raffles department where subway station is available in here.
Travel tip:
Very nice during the night where a lot of beautiful neon light brighten the whole area.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. It is always great. The staff speak good English. They are always so welcoming and helpful. They are also knowledgeable about the area. The hotel is located right on Peoples square so nice and easy for shopping and walking around.Also close to other attractions.
For a business point of veiw it is convenient to get to anywhere, has great facilities.

The hotel has very good location where only 5 min walk from the metro station. The room is quiet, clean and big. The staff are friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and gym are also recommended. Good hotel for business tavel and vacation. The price is not so freindly but it is worth.

This is my second time to stay in this hotel, still very clean and great service. The breakfast buffet is yummy! I like to order room service (steak) after we back to hotel from 4hours shopping.

Hotel location is great and nice to know there is a starbucks right by the hotel so can get a coffee or sandwiches whenever i need.
The room is ok but just the hotel is a bit old and dated.

overall happy with the hotel but room air conditioning system can further be improved. best part is room come with free wi-fi.
Travel tip:
If you enjoy walking then Nanjing road opposite the hotel is the best area. Always full of tourists and walking to the famous ' The Bund ' and ' pearl tower ' is not very far away.

the hotel is well appointed (they have a loofa included in the toiletries) and comfortable. staff are friendly and happy to help with queries.
a great location so easy to walk to nanjing road and the bund. you can also walk to people's square to catch the train (line 2) to the pearl tower.
Restaurant Tip:
We chose not to eat in the hotel, but walked just round the corner, (left out the door and turn right or left, one or two blocks along)to find regular people doing regular stuff. Hawkers selling all sorts of fruit, haberdashery, wonderful dumplings freshly made. We had a breakfast that took some time, stopping at the different shops on the way to test what they have. There is also plenty of Halal food if you want it, a small mosque and a few Islamic butchers. Dinner was a similar experience turning the other direction and if you're desperate for an icecream, Maccas is just down the road.

First time staying here.
Not too impressed with the check in and out for a 5* hotel.
Overall service and the facilities of this hotel is above average.
This hotel is next to the main nanjing shopping street and a few blocks from the bund.
Happy with the wifi in the room.
Shopping Tip:
You should be able to spend a couple of days shopping along nanjing street and the nearby areas

We stayed in Howard Johnson for 4 mights. It was truly an enjoyable experience. The room was great and the staff very helpful . Had a little problem with the room air conditioning which was attended by a person who spoke and understood only chinese so there was a great confusion.
The location is great . The big Bus stop is right outside the hotel
