very good location and comfortable stay. there are some good restaurants around the hotel and the view from the room directly to the interchanged highway, terrible view. we are satisfied with the hotel overall.

Good hotel, friendly efficient staff.
Everything the business traveller needs.
8.3
Smart hotel in an ideal location, close to the Tube, Shanghai Stadium, and access routes to the South of Shanghai.
Restaurant Tip:
Nice restaurant only 200yds along the road after turning left out of the hotel.

Good facilities but below average service and food
The hotel is near to the Shanghai Metro

The hotel has good warming facility which is important as I was there during winter. However, the food in the restaurant was expensive and not very delicious. The staff were not very friendly as well and none of them greeted me with a smile. Nonetheless, the room is nice and provide good rest after a busy day at work.

Great room size and location

This nice hotel is just opposite to the Sports Stadium and only a min walk to the Metro station (line number 1) which is 1 stop away from the nearest central district and shopping malls. It is worth to pay the extra for staying in executive floor as it includes free breakfast, snack during happy hour and all-day coffee or tea in a comfortable lounge. Perhaps the only downside is really hard to get a taxi from the hotel.

I have been traveling to Shanghai for the last 25 years and everytime I get there I will stay at the Huating. Good place to stay for business or pleasure.

Great location, good access to local shopping
Quiet rooms, excellent maid service, responsive front desk
8.7
Room was very clean, comfortable bed, cable access included CNN, CNBC, and Bloomberg. Great view of city from 15th floor.
Shopping Tip:
Visit the Ikea just 5 minutes walk from hotel, had a delicious lunch at the cafeteria, which was packed with locals.

It's not the best (old bathroom, carpteting) but if you need to be in the area (near Shanghai Stadium), this is a decent choice.

Good value for money, close to metro.
I have always found this hotel to be clean and the staff pleasant.
8.3
I stayed a week and felt pretty relaxed here. The location is not exactly stunning but everything is within reach and the metro (Lines 1 and 4 I think) is right on the doorstep. They have a good buffet breakfast but are perhaps a little enthusiastic at clearing your table - a problem for the single diner. General decor is fine and facilities good, rooms are comfortable and normally quiet. Good range of tv channels and the mini bar is OK. If you are on a budget there is a supermarket somewhere around gate 3 of the main stadium (which is in front of the hotel). If you want shopping Xujiahui is down the road, just walkable or one stop on the metro, there must be at least ten shopping malls around there. For some reason when you check in you take your luggage to your room yourself, a bit unusual for this class of hotel, but don't be put off
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
On a rainy day try Shanghai Museum, its on People's Square about 6 or 7 stops away on the metro. I really liked the bronze's, the minority people's costumes and the furniture.
