Value for Money!! Guest Rating: 4.2

I recommend to walk the entire Fangbang road from the hotel towards the river. Nice shopping all the way, especially towards the end.

• Travel tip : There is a street near the hotel where people sell and prepare food. Go on and have a try! We enjoyed it!

Location is excellent - walking distance to all! Guest Rating: 3.5

We have stayed there for 19 nights (April 2008) and did not regret it at all, would (and hope to do so) go there again, though we normally like it a little more "upmarket". Location is the best you can get in Shanghai, in my opinion - taxis pass by in their hundreds, buses stop close-by and the Metro station (line 8) is about 400 m away.

• Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You are in the middle of everything. When you arrive in the evening, go to Xin Tian Di (400 m west). When it rains, go to the Shanghai Museum. When you want to slim and if you are a Westerner, go to the second street north at night. When you want "Antiques", go to the small shops and stalls nearby. Don't miss the food supermarket in "Shanghai Times Square Department Store" (basement) for Western delicacies of all kind - French Baguettes and cheese and so forth (400 m north-west)
