Great location, close to lots of interesting attractions.
The staff are USELESS. I could have walked in with a machete and nobody would have noticed/cared. DON'T USE THE TAXIS THE HOTELS CALL FOR YOU. We did going back to the airport and he tried to majorly screw us twice. We had to threaten him and take his photo. Don't use the taxi with the number plate: D N9281 and Shanghai Taxi Service ID 298151. He's a complete scammer and a pretty big moron.
We had a satisfactory stay for 3 nights. The buffet breakfast was ok, nothing special. They have 3 computers with slow internet on the 3rd floor. Sometimes you have to wait a while as people are using them. Overall, for the price we paid it was fine. Personally if we went back, I'd rather stay a little further north to be closer to the more modern part of town, but it would probably be a lot more expensive.

Reasonable walk to the Yu Yuan Garden, Shanghai Museum, Huaihai road; helpful staff
Internet was a bit patchy, only two terminals were working at any one time.
Overall, the rooms are spacious, clean but a bit timeworn. The staff is courteous, friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast is fairly simple but there are quite a few choices at the buffet. The location was very good for my needs as a tourist, but it's currently a fairly dusty and noisy area, as it is located on the main road heading to the Shanghai 2010 expo, and there are buildings been torn down and pipes being laid along the sides of the road.
Travel tip : Ask for a room at the back of the hotel, off the main road

The hotel have very good location near old town and new buildings. Metro station is very near too. Many interesting places are within walking distance from hotel. The staff is very helpfull and check in and check out begann quickly. The standard room is clean and enough space.Corridors need some renovation. Overall, it was a good stay.
Shopping Tip : Many shops in walking distance.

Free internet faciliie. Cable TV. Located near a MRT station.
The air conditioning was not warm enough. The carpet is a bit stained. Breakfast selections could be improved.
The hotel is strategically located, i.e. within walking distance to the MRT station, Xin Tian Di and SSouth hanxi Road (shoppping area). As there are many shopping malls nearby, finding food is not a problem. Clean room and bathroom. Confortable bed. Friendly hotel staffs. The free internet facilities at business centre really helped me a lot in planning my trips. Overall, I had a pleasant stay at the hotel and would definitely stay there again whenever I return to Shanghai.

Excellent Location. Close to shopping and subway
Construction was ongoing in front of the hotel
The hotel is in a great location, the staff courteous. I was pleasantly surprised by finding a nice lobby and bell desk area with a garden in a small city hotel- good use of space. The standard room size is bigger than normal;however, the carpet in the room looks a bit beat up, everything else is great.

Walking distance to main shopping street (Nanjing Road).
Hotel very dated, room desperately needs refurbishment. Construction work currently being carried out right outside the hotel.
First impression isn’t good at all. Road outside hotel is currently being widened with construction work happening day and night. Conditions outside the hotel front steps are a scene of chaos. Hotel itself is very old, the room we stayed in desperately needs to be refurbished. Size of the room is quite big, but still doesn’t make up for its condition. Breakfast service is OK, not a great selection but perhaps the only thing good going for the hotel. Won’t be back again.

Good location. Easy to get to.
Bathrooms need to be updated.
The hotel is located on the border of old and new Shanghai. It's quite an interesting contrast. It's located close to the public transportation system. The hotel bed (at least in my room) was very hard but after an exhausting day you almost do not feel it. The breakfast food selection is not very inspiring but it's acceptable. Over all it was a fair value for my money.

Room was quite clean and the hotel location was strategic, just across Dongtai antique street & nearby Shopping district & nightlife area (Xintiandi & Houhai).
Room's furniture a bit old.
Location, location & location... Hotel location was nearby Xintiandi & shopping street (houhai), the bus stop is just in front of the hotel. And if you feel hungry at night, there is a night market nearby this hotel, which offers various street food. This hotel also provided a free internet access in the business center from 7.00AM until 10.00 PM. There is also a travel service in this hotel, you can buy a train ticket to Suzhou, Hangzhou or Nanjing.
Nightlife Tip : Very near to night market & Xintiandi.

Location downtown.
Breakfast.
Old furniture. Need renovation. Location in poor area.
This hotel definitely is downtown in what concerns the metro line nevertheless it's location in the middle of one of the poorest neighborhoods I saw in Shanghai makes it very unpleasant every time you need to leave the hotel. Right at the entrance of the hotel there is a bugs market (hard to believe) which has a terrible smell and very strange people. Hotel also need renovation. Breakfast is good for China.

The hotel inside is very good, reception service is fast and clear, good lift, the room was very comfortable.
Parking and the outside area, it's not so good from the outside poing of view.
The magnificent international hotel is very near the downtown of Shanghai, and 10min walk to people square. Inside the hotel is clean enough and the rooms are well done.
Nightlife Tip : Clubs, restaurant, pub, shopping, peopleseing.
