The Majesty Plaza Shanghai Hotel is well located in the centre of the city ,convenient for the shopping and entertainment,the hotel is clean tidy,the staff polite,the rooms are spacious,food is good ,price is slightly on the higher side otherwise everything is rather positive about this hotel and its staff.

Room was big.
Overall, this hotel did not "wow" me. The lobby and elevators reeked of cigarette smoke. The bellhops never helped me with my two suitcases, instead they just stood by and watched! The restaurants follow the local tradition of closing between 2pm - 6pm. When I checked in (starving) at 3PM there was no food available!! The room was good sized, but shabby. Definitely needs to be renovated. I will be looking for another hotel on my next trip to Shanghai.

Good room service, decent food.
Bad room layouts, desk staff is not always courteous.
Ramada is at best a good 'budget' hotel. It is not very luxurious and some things in the hotel clearly are a let down - including the layouts for the rooms, the fact that the shower does not have good pressure, and that the staff is always looking to get things done as quickly as possible without bothering if they come across as courteous or not. However efficient service and the lower price make it a reasonable option still.
