Cosy Hotel and Convenient Location

this hotel is located at dashijie mrt station. when you leave the station, take the exit 2 and you will reach the plaza building. there're also mcdonald and chinese restaurants in this building. we would recommend this hotel because it is very close the station and the room is good with acceptable price. the room and public area are clean and the staff also nice. for travel to tourist places from the hotel also very easy, just one stop to people's square which you can shop along nanjing rd. and walk to the bund. if you want to go to nearby provinces liks hangzhou or suzhou, you can take mrt from people's square station to hongqiao railway station.
Restaurant Tip:
Take MRT from Dashijie station to Laoximen station and change to line no.10 to Xintiandi station. Take the exit to Madang Rd., and walk to the North along Madang Rd.,. It's just only 2 stops and you will find plenty shopping places and restaurants there. Another place is Tian Zi Fang. Take MRT from Dashijie station to Lujiabang station and change to line no.9 to Dapuqiao station, take the exit to Tai Kang Rd.

it is a clean, good location hotel situated in one of the main streets in shanghai, the hotel rooms were renovated into a clean and comfortable hotel..however it would be great if wifi service will be provided in the rooms. it is near metro station and easily accessible to all places.

We enjoyed our stay at this well appointed hotel in the middle of Shabnghai. The hop on sightseeing bus is just across the park, Breakfast is great and the building is very well renovated. I would stay there again and i recommend it to western tourists.

Not my cup of tea
The inside decoration is nice, though dated. This is the only nice thing at this hotel.

In our 2 nights in this hotel we haven't met one receptionist that spoke English. They also was very roud and didn't try to help when I tried to understand the hotel location and get tips about how to get to different places in the city. They gave us a really crapy room, which I guess was beacouse of the low price we paid through Agoda. The windows in the room faced other windows in the hotel, so there was no point to open them and the shower curtain was really dirty.
Also on our the seconed day there when we got back to the hotel there where sheats covering all the corridors on our floor and the carpets where really watery. We didn't say anything beacouse it was temporary but on the next day it was still there and when we left the room I almost fell. When we tried to talk to the reception about it they couldn't understand anything, so we got help from another guest at the hotel thattranslated for us, but all they could say was that they didn't knew about it and they where sorry. Well I think it's weird they didn't knew, and I think that the least they could do is to change our rooms or at least tell us about it in advance.
We left the hotel and moved to a different hotel in the city, which was wonderful!!

Do Not Judge A Hotel by Its Facade

Hotel is located in a very convenient location, especially if coming/going to both Pudong or Puxi airports. Easily accessible to taxis, if in a rush, but also very close to the underground train service.
Had a smaller room this time round but just as cosy and comfortable. Not noisy despite being near the main road.
Restaurant Tip:
Turn left once out of the hotel and head to the first traffic junction. Cross to the other side and turn left again. There's a nice HK-style restaurant for meals at all times of the day. Breakfast till supper! Think they close like past midnight. The roast meats there are pretty well done.
Another HK-style restaurant is about 300m down the street where you crossed the first junction (do not turn, just cross another 2 traffic junctions).

Restaurant Tip:
There was a wedding dinner at a small lobby near the lobby
. Horrendous! The bride was gigantic compared to the groom. Shame plus noisy.
