The New World Mayfair is a great find! I stayed there 2 years ago, loved it then and again now. The hotel lobby and guest rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The dinner buffet is excellent. The surrounding area has a beautiful park and plenty of shops. Also very close to the subway and only 20 mins from the Bund, so it's very convenient for getting around Shanghai. Great value! Will go back again next time I'm in Shanghai!

I enjoyed my stay at the New World Mayfair hotel .
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The staff made and effort to greet us upon our arrival and were present each day to assist us. Excellent buffet offered and we were able to watch the Closing ceremony of the Olympics. I liked the location of the hotel as it was within walking distance to the subway and there are several shopping malls around this area.I would not hsitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visitng Shanghai!!
I really liked the hotel- very nice room .Liked the pool. Location is great- close to the subway. Staff is very good- friendly and helpful.
There should be free internet provided. I had a deluxe suite and it was not included. 120 yuan is too expensive to pay each day. Most hotels provide internet for free.
