Clean, Confortable and Quiet

The Stay was pleasant until the After-check out.
As there was a crowd of European waiting for their tour coach, the lobby was jam up.
With my luggage, i asked (in chinese) the hostess at lobby bar if i can sit for 5-10min at the seat waiting for my cab. She say i need to pay for a drink. I walk away and waited at a corner behind some flower pot. Then i saw some of the European Girl asked the same in english, the hostess let them sit. This is Racist and very Bias. I am also a guest from Overseas, used to stay in Indigo and this is my first time using this Hotel and plan to recommend to my company - what a let down.

Big hotel with good buffet breakfast

The hotel is surrounded by shops and shopping malls. The room is nice and spacious. The breakfast is good with plenty of selections. Freshly squeezed orange juice is so refreshing. WiFi coverage is good throughout the premises; however, as at all the places in China, acesses to Facebook and Google are not allowed.
Hotel Feature Tip:
I would recommend selecting to include breakfast and WiFi in the booking; it is value for money if you are there for business.

Good business hotel
great fitness room, great park across the street, newly remodeled

good business hotel. rooms a bit small, but clean and well furnished. beds very firm (if you like that). wireless works in room ( extra per day!). very nice breakfast buffet (with ample "western food" choices. easy access to subways and taxis.
Restaurant Tip:
eat at charme across the street in the mall--excellent!

i stay for 3 days on my business trip in shanghai. the room is modern and clean. the hotel is in renovation during the day time till 7pm. besides that, the sound insulation is very good. the best part for me is the food in their restaurants. i got free breakfast in my rate and the quality is really good and choices are plentiful.
i especially like the location. it sits near a popular department store which provides several good restaurants and popular stores. you can get almost everything you need in the stay. subway is just nearby and is life saver during the commuting time both in the morning and evening. it's really hard to get a taxi in those time of the day.
overall i will give it 4.5 stars. i would give 5 if the swimming pool is open during my stay which is a shame. the outdoor pool is really nice but closed due to weather and no heating.
Restaurant Tip:
The Chinese Cantonese restaurant next to the hotel has very good Dim sum and Dinner in taste and quality. It is a little pricy IMO but worthy. It's a great choice if don't want to go far.

We come to shanghai about 4-5 times a year for business. we have stayed in a half dozen hotels or so, the new world has the best bfast and cleanest gym and sauna facilities so far. internet is free and service is good. would recommend this hotel for business travelers.

It is very easy to take shanghai subway line 2 to go to places in shanghai. the hotel staff was very helpful.
