Great Location, Soft Beds, Nice Views, Good Service
Be carfull of minibar items being given to you and not being told they are for the mini bar and assuming they are free.
The location of this hotel was amazing for sight seeing. The hotel forms part of the most famous skyline in Shanghai.
The rooms in this hotel where without fault, lovely soft beds, huge bathtubs, hot water, nice finishing touches.
Hotel was clean and all staff where helpfull, Metro was just opposite the entrance to the TV tower maybe 3 mins away, local street food market just around the corner.
There is not a lot of Resturants in this area of Shanghai pick up a timeout from reception for reviews of good resturants and different cuisines.
Shopping Tip : Ask to the concierge to write down the address to go to the best fake market for fantastic handbags, dvds, clothing and jewellry. Taxi costs around 26Y which is around £2.40

Spaciousness and quality of room
Only stayed one night. No complaints
I travel to Shanghai a few times each year and have previously stayed in other hotels outside the Pudong area. I do not speak Chinese so I often had difficulty finding the hotels as many taxi drivers were unfamiliar with some of them. The fact that this hotel was very close to the pearl tower made it very easy to locate. It was also very easy for me to get a taxi from the hotel even during peak periods.
The quality of the room was excellent, just as you would expect from a five star hotel. It had all the amenities anyone could desire and on the fifth floor where I stayed it was exceptionally quiet and peaceful so I had no trouble getting a good night's sleep. The buffet breakfas was included and this was more than adequate. I would certainly stay there again on my next visit to Shanghai.

the best location at Shanghai, nice view from hotel windows, nice breakfast, good service
breakfast is too expensive
I travel to Shanghai nearly every month. I stay at Oriental Rivrside Hotel Shanghai every time when travel there. I like the location, like the nice view from hotel windows. But the breakfast is too expensive. I would suggest to include the breakfast to the room rate at a reasonable cost. It is too expensive to have breakfast inside the hotel, and too inconvenient to have breakfast outside the hotel.

Good location, great amenity
the pool is dirty and water very cold
The hotel is very good located, just walk outside the main lobby entrance you will see the sightseeing tunnel train station. very convenience to cross over to the Bund, Although it a bit expensive. one way cost rmb 400, return is rmb500. There's a big shopping mall called Super brand mall which is just about 10 mins walk. You can find many restaurant,Pub, cafe and all sort of shop range from fashion wear to nail spa here. The space of the room is consider spacious for the price they charge and the best deal is that although they give me a garden view, my room view is so nice. Can see the pearl tower directly and World financial centre and the Jin Mao building.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Bing Jiang Ave is just 5 mins walk away from the hotel, it offer fantastic view of the Bund and there are many nice restaurant along the Ave.

location, close to subway, spacious room, very good bed.
Some restoration ongoing on ground level but no disturbance.
I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is located central, just next to the oriental pearl TV tower, subway station, walking distance from World Financial Center and Jin Mao Building. Professional staff, perfectly English speaking. Extensive breakfast due to restoration served on the 5th floor with a superb view over the river and the Bund. Bathroom with an excellent rain shower, separate bath. Very spacious room with very good bed.

The hotel interior is grand and impressive. Beds and rooms are nice and clean. Toilets is attractive. Good location to the riverside and train station.
Breakfast is not provided.
The hotel i stayed in was a grand and beautiful place. The hotel is just located beside the Shanghai Expo center. A couple mins of walk down would be the riverside of shanghai The Bund. Very romantic place to bring your loved ones there. Lots of fancy and nice restaurants and pubs. The Evening atmosphere is fantastic and extravagance. Another 5 mins walk would be the train stations.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take the train around for sight seeing. Its cheap and the train service is fast. The train station links to most parts of shanghai city. Its very fast and efficient. Best train ride of my life.

The price for a standard room was fairly cheap and the room pretty nice.
However, the lobby is being renovated, hence it's noisy starting relatively early in the morning, and most restaurants are not operating.
Overall good value for a business trip, wouldn't recommend for a nice vacation.

Best View of the River and the Bund
Staff ''VERY'' poor English and Food very BAD!
This hotel is in a great location with great views of the River and Bund . The Staff are very friendly and polite but they speak very little English.
The restaurants are to be avoided if at all possible
The room rates are a good value just plan on eating out side the Hotel.
Restaurant Tip : Two blocks from hotel "Elementfresh" great place to eat has Good service and all dishes were fresh, have gone back time and time again International Cuisine

nearby shopping mall. new and clean rooms, heated swimming pool and free internet
central heat/aircon. 10 mins walk from train station
The hotel is in the major financial district. It is exactly next to the convention centre, so it is easy to communicate with the taxi driver. However, none of the driver knows about this hotel. It is about 10 mins walk to the train station. Very easy to catch a taxi as taxi stand is outside the hotel and the convention centre. 4 mins (1 block) away from the Grand shopping centre. There is also heated swimming pool.
The hotel is under renovation in some areas. I didn't hear any noise, but was very upset to wake up one of the morning to find out there are no water due to the major pipes in my room area has been shut. The hotel staff should have arrange guess to be in one area that won't affected. There are central heat/cool. During winter, there will only be heat. The room is extremely hot and i can only open the window to cool it down.

Excellent location, high level hotel, very clean and comfortable.
Internet service too expensive at the Business Center ($3 Yuan a minute)if you do not have a laptop.
The hotel is located near the Pearl Tower (100 meters). The view of the room (Pudong side) was amazing but the view of "The bund" near by was breathtaking. The hotel is also near a subway station (Lu Jia Zui) that makes moving around very easy, cheap and comfortable. The hotel in general and the room were very clean. Food was excellent (breakfast buffet). Personnel was helpful, efficient and friendly. Excellent value for the money.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Use the subway to move around. It is really easy, cheap and convenient if you are not afraid of getting lost.
