nice rooms even a little bit old, the staff is very helpful, the bath room and the shower are all very nice though, the only thing is it is a high rise with the elevator in the middle, so you can hear the sound of the elevator goes up and down even at night. the gym is pretty out of dated, they should so some to improve that.

Fabulous hotel. My room was terrific. It was huge and spotlessly clean. Great views. Service from all those I encountered was of the highest quality. Room service was very efficient. The included breakfast was wonderful. So much choice. Requests were met with a smile and nothing seemed to be an issue. The whole hotel was welcoming and beautiful. Would highly recommend this hotel. The train was only a few minutes walk away.
Shopping Tip:
Han City Market, 580 Nanjing Road West. Especially 4F shop 118 for scarves, 3F shop 78 for bags and watches, 4F shop 113 for glasses, 3F shop 74 for make up.
Oscars for DVDs - 562 Fengyang Rd - across the road from the back of Han City
Urban Soup Kitchen, 280 Madang Rd - fabulous food
Kommune - Yard 7, 210 Taikang Rd - great food and atmosphere. It is worth looking for in the Tianzifang complex.

first of all, we have to say that the room that we booked online was not available when we checked in so the check in staff had upgraded the room for us. the upgraded room is very huge, spacious, and well decorated but it is a bit old and dated and do need some renovation. location is good, the building is nice, the view from the restaurant on 49 fl. is nice. however, the services are quite good, not up to the standard of the hotel. might be because the hotel is very crowded and busy. most of the staffs only speak chinese.

love to stay here 3 more night. lots shops in metro station and only 3 local dollars you can ride many lines. (just dont went out exit). garanteed you will reach your destination if you got lost. we only booked 2 nights then changed mind and stay total 5 nights.

The lobby and hotel itself is rather nice, which is what you would expect from this chain of hotels. The location is very convenient, being a few minutes walk from Dapuqiao metro station. The breakfast on the 49th floor has great views, though the egg station has only one cook, which could mean that you could be waiting for 20minutes for your omelette, as I did. The rooms are spacious, though the draw curtain covering the window from the bathroom to the rest of the room wasn't discreet enough with the lights on. For an internationally recognised chain of hotels, it should be expected that staff speak good english, however, the command of english of the concierge/welcomers that I approached was just understandable. Their demeanour was also snobbish and unwelcoming, with the way they spoke to me and their body language. However, Eva, the staff member who checked me in, was very accommodating and friendly, with great english skills. I would stay elsewhere, for the price I paid here, only because of the low customer service skills the staff had.
