Spacious room (business suite) and convenient location. Old and not very well kept in details. Stay away from their breakfast, if at all possible. Jeff at the reception was quite helpful, with more than sufficient English and very good heart.

Staff is friendly and speaks ok english. Rooms have excellent cold A/C and balcony offers fantastic views. The location is probably not the best, but a cheap taxi ride can get you where you want to go. min. 50 words

Good location, good price A bit noisy
Room 1915: very hard bed! But not all the beds seem to be the same as in room 2505 bed is different, but room 2505 looks less nice... If you are looking for a cheap accommodation, clean, well equipped, and with a pretty good location, I would recommend you to stay at Rayfont Shanghai hotel & apartment, this is a quite good address. The first room was equipped with a kind size bed, air condition, clean bathroom and mini bar, the second room did not include the bar.
Shopping Tip : "Family Markt" is located around 50m from the reception of the hotel, there you can get a various choice of food (snacks) and beverages.

The location-wise, it is next to my customer's office, so, it was convenient and on the following day, I had to go to Hongqiao Airport and it costs about RMB30.- from the hotel, so, it was o.k.. This is not my first experience to have not smooth check out, like in other countries. Near this hotel, there are a few new hotels belonging to the well known hotel chains in China. I do recommend that in this location, theses hotels of the chain would be much better.
The room is old and the water heater of the bath room is very poor (Once you take shower, you have to wait for 30minutes more to get it ready).
Shopping Tip : The convenience store is located at the next building. And there are a few bakery near to the hotel.

Good location for use as homebase for explore the rest of the city need the heater on at the winter season... Good value for clean hotel at safe location..just 5min walk to nearest metro station Jiangsu Road that you should use because no cab drivers understand you if not have a hotel card with you..did not try out the resturang at the hotel only use 2 overnights for easy central start for my own sightseeing each day..Would use it again if not hear of any better :)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Learn how to use the Metro...best and cheapest way if avoid rush hours...

Comparing it with the price you have to pay for a 4-star hotel, it is acceptable.
