great location, just 10mins drive away from the city and easy access to the highway. Amenities around hotel just a stone throw away. Cleaniness and condition of hotel room fantastic. Expensive breakfast and internet charges. Such expensive room rates should have complimentary internet.

The rooms and the staff were excellent. I was there for business at the Shanghaimart which is less than a 5 minute walk from the hotetl.
The location of the hotel is great for the Shanghaimart, but everything else in town required a long walk to the metro or a taxi to get downtown.
This was my first trip to Shanghai. I chose the Renaissance at the recommendation of my customer as it was close to the Shanghaimart. The concierge staff were outstanding. They helped in everyway imaginable to help resolve several business and personal issues that came up. The hotel is quite a ways from the downtown area and the areas for sight seeing. It's about a 20 minute walk to the metro.
Nightlife Tip : Go visit the Xin Tien Di area for restaurants and bars. Very active and nice area.
