The Hotel is not really near to the main shopping area, which is situated near the Bund ( River), about a 10min taxi ride away, depending on traffic. Also I had arranged to have wine left in my room on arrival, confirmed by e-mail. Unfortunately this did not happen, thus a disappointing start.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you intend to shop/sight see across the far side of the Bund and stay later in the evening, be aware that Taxis are reluctant to bring you back. I believe they think this is not cost effective and would rather do more short trips.
