Loved this hotel - I've been to Shanghai many times, but this is the first time staying at Rhea.
Rhea's location is great - just next to the Metro station (Line 1). Service always with a smile, and lovely room decor.
Will be back next time I'm in town!

On our travels throughout china we found that the beds are extremely hard. (I guess in comparison to what we are used to. Beds at the Rhea Boutique hotel were the most comfortable of all.
The hotels service folder advertises a Healthy Spa Centre, unfortunately this does not exist. You are able to get a massage but only in your room, no spa.
Located only 100 metres from the Hanzhong Rd Subway station on line (1) makes it very convenient to get around this city.
Shopping Tip:
Good markets at Science and Technology subway station located on Exit 2. Bargain hard

We arrived at night and the area was very dark. The title of "boutique hotel" is obviously misleading. Nothing of boutique hotel. It is a big hotel with small rooms. Our room had the right wall cracked and crumbling. And I don´t know how but the walls were very dirty.
The bathroom was clean in general though not pristine.

Good value hotel in Shanghai

I have been staying at the Rhea hotel for most of my trips to Shanghai and it has always been a comfortable hotel to stay and it is convenient to the subway. the hotel room is big enough for comfort but it seems to be a little run down lately. It is still however a good value hotel to stay in Shanghai. There is a new hotel restaurant that serves a decent breakfast

The location of the hotel is good and near to Shanghai Railway Station. A MRT station is just opposite the hotel, so we could easily to access to others place in Shanghai by MRT. Room is fairly big and the environment at night is quiet. So, we could have a very comfortable rest at night. Breakfast is delicious and quite wide range of food types.

this hotel location is very good. near to shanghai railway station, which taking about 15 minute walk only. just in front of the hotel is a mrt station, so it make travelling to other places of shanghai become easy. the breakfast is good and delicious.
