Location, location, location. The size of the room for the price-the views from my room were better than anticipated
some minor irrations in the room-occasional noise coming from bathroom walls (suspect plumbing issue) which was relayed to the front desk
Upon arrival I knew I had found a bargin-hotel was close to the Bund and major shppping. With some airline problems creating a day delay in arrival, and no way to confirm that I was on the way, I found all in order-very clean and large room waiting. Hotel food was above average for the price- Best feature for the hotel in my mind was the knowledge of staff and their willingness to go above to find what I was looking for. Being a street person I found the location to be loaded with numerous opportunites for exploration.
Hotel offers transport to/from the airport at about 1/5 the cost of other means of transportation (only offered on weeekdays)
Restaurant Tip : if your into street vendors the kiosk immediately across from the main entrance (from front door about 11 o'clock) has outstanding fooed

The breakfast is overpriced, but there are plenty of small restaurants around the hotel to choose from.
I used this higher end hotel to host my parents (they are from Europe) for their first night in China. They were blown away by the luxury and service this place.
