I loved this hotel from the moment I arrived, so did my wife and two sons. We stayed for six nights and would highly recommend it. It is superlative in every aspect.

Close to everything. No need for a boring taxi ride, just a short stroll down interesting streets to get to all the must see attractions including Nanjing Road, Peoples Square, The Bund, Museum, Yuan Gardens, local food markets and the subway. The staff were very friendly with capable English speaking skills and would go beyond your expections to please you. Room service was very reasonabley priced and quick and yummy. The western style restaurant has magnificent views all over Shanghai and the food is of high quality, yummy and very reasonable priced. We had two rooms both with magnificent views both day and night. The rooms were huge and extremely luxurious, the beds were very comfortable and a computer with free internet was provided, along with daily free water, toothbrushes, combs etc. The cleaning lady was friendly and did a great job especially having to clean up after my two messy sons every day. No problem leaving cameras and other expensive items around. Money exchange in the hotel was heaps quicker and at a better rate than the banks. Even the gift shop in the lobby had really high quality pieces of art (better quality than I saw anywhere else) and at very discounted prices.

I could not find fault the hotel in any way nor could I suggest anything that could be improved as everything was beyond my expectations.

  • Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close to everything. No need for a boring taxi ride, just a short stroll down interesting streets to get to all the must see attractions including Nanjing Road, Peoples Square, The Bund, Museum, Yuan Gardens, local food markets and the subway. Because the hotel is in such a great location we could walk down different streets each time we headed out (no need to repeatedly walk up and down the same street). There are all kinds of restaurants within metres of the hotel. We tried something different every meal (no one was sick). It was a great experience.

We fortunately found a good rate for an executive suite. The room was big enough and even a computer was provided. Around the hotel there was a lot of constructions, so it could be hard for non-local driver to reach the hotel, but the mall street (Nangin Dong Rue) was quite near and many stores around are open 24hours. I'd check the rate of this hotel first for the next visit.

Room accommodation: Good. Location: Good.

Bar at the 31st floor was little bit poor.

  • Restaurant Tip : Try local restaurants around the hotel, you may find them good.
