Great location - accessable & central.
Well known by locals.
Rooms are slightly tired looking
Surrounded by well know landmarks like Plaza 66, Ritz Calton, etc one cannot miss the hotel.
Certainly will remain as one of my choice hotels if rates remain reasonable.
Suitable for both business and leisure travellers.
Staff are friendly and helpful which makes my stay always pleasant.

Centrally located, clean and neat, helpful staffs esp in advising where to get what and help to communicate to the taxi drivers, efficient charge in and charge out.
I would come back to this hotel and recommend to those interested to stay near ammenities in Shanghai. Within walking distance for good food, shopping, sight seeing. Room is clean and neat, staffs are helpful and fast charge in and charge out. Good to include a small map of hotel card as some taxi do not know where is the hotel.
Shopping Tip : Near to "Book City" which is at Fu Chou Lu where there are obviously books and hugh collections of video/audio DVDs.

Location of the hotel was good.
Hotel rooms and corridors desperately need renovation. Very dated rooms and quite aged. Main lobby was also quite impersonal, but service was not too bad.
The hotel was rather overpriced for what it offered. Although the location was good, the rooms definitely did not appear to be 5-star. They were dated and desperately in need of renovation, particularly the carpets, cupboards and bathroom. While the lobby was large and can pass off as a 5-star hotel, it was rather impersonal. Service, however, was alright, and possibly quite good for Shanghai standards.
Restaurant Tip : Ritz Carlton and Plaza 66 opposite have a nice french bakery cafe and a starbucks respectively. Good choices for brekkie, if you, like me, had a room that did not include b/f.
