In short a good hotel to stay in the city except the breakfeast buffet is much too expensive.
very well situation in the city , easy to move every where.
The breakfast is too expensive and prohibitive.
Always reliable

I find the J C Mandarin great for business as they can arrange for anything you want. The front desk are very helpful and all staff speak very good English which makes a difference.
Hotel cars and taxis are always available. Good breakfast. Good service.
- Travel tip : This hotel is more for the business traveller. it is somewhat impersonal due to the size but staff speak good English and are very helpful in arranging anything i.e. train tickets, air tickets etc.

This is a great part of town with excellent dining options just across the road in the French Concession. Also some of the best shopping in Shanghai is just across the road.
- Restaurant Tip : Try the Bali Laguna for a romantic evening meal. Try JZ or the Cotton Club for great Jazz, both are near the hotel.
So far so good

Hair cut is cheap and skillfully done!! I went for a hair cut near the hotel, on the Xinzha Lu Road. Cut & wash at RMB20 only!
- Restaurant Tip : Along the Nanjing Xi Lu (From hotel direction to Jinan temple) there is Bei Fong Tan Restaurant- taste & price are ok. Try it!
Nice!

I have no additional comments.
- Restaurant Tip : Element Fresh just across the road from the hotel is great for weekend brunch and health food.
