The room is big, clean and tidy. Also this hotel location is very near to convenience shop and restaurant. It's only 20min drive from Hongqiao Airport.

the hotel clientele are mostly foreign business travelers which explains the wide variety of food choices for their buffet breakfast. the rooms are spacious and comfortable. the only thing which turned me off is the carpeting in the rooms. the carpet although clean shows ugly stains in some areas making the room look shabby. overall, good value for money. i would go back there on my next business trip.

Decent hotel, would recommend it to others
Room was clean enough, and the room walls are more insulated than many other hotels in SH in this price range(!)

Drinks prices in the lobby bar were pretty steep - although the staff were pleasant, and spoke a good level of English.
Check out was efficient, and didn't have to wait as there were sufficient staff available.
Will stay here again in future.

Big room, but rather dirty, stains on the carpet, need to be refres. Location quite far away from the subway. Even if you choose a non smoking room, smoke from below next door with AC makes your room unconfortable. The hotel doesn t enforce non smoking policy. The staff is friendly but english level is quite low.

Beautiful hotel with outstanding features
An all suite hotel with majestic furnishings.

I thought the Hotel and staff were outstanding. For the price you get an amazing hotel and room. The hotel is furnished with exquisite antiques and artefacts. The Fitness Centre in the Annex is also great with an indoor 25m swimmimg pool. Only problem it is quite a distance from the centre of SHanghai and about a 15 minute walk to the nearest Subway station.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If travelling alone make sure you get a local tour guide. When you go to any tourist spots by yourself you get harrassed by people selling you everything you can imagine. Also a big tip, if anyone offers you the International Tea festival, don't go. It ended up costing me nearly $700US to drink a few cups of tea. It is a scam created by the locals for International travellers, I had 3 groups of young people all in a row asking me to do the same festival, I got bitten once so please don't get caught out yourself.
