An international hotel, since it is accor group hotel all the staff can speak english. The room is quite standard and is considered an old hotel, but it's clean. It has great location in the middle of east nanjing Lu area. Just few steps away You can find shopping street with bunch of shopping store and restaurants. If You would like to go further, the subway also located nearby. But it's hard to get a cab from hotel lobby especially in shanghai busy hour. It takes 1 hour to pudong intl airport by taxi.

It was comfortable but it does not come up to five star rating. Old fixtures and toilets.
Got cheated by the taxi cab from the hotel to the airport. Hotel should protect their reputation by screening the taxi waiting outside their hotel entrance.

i really satisfied stay at this hotel, very near from shopping center east nanjing road, and the bund only 10 mins walk. the facilities and good service from hotel staff very friendly, the concierge is very helpful and knows the way around also all information that you need. great location for shopping, dinning, and very near from the metro staion.

Hotel is situated on pedestrian shopping street (NanJing Dong Lu). Also walking distance to The Bund and People's Square (Garden and Malls). Two metro lines (2 & 10) takes you to most attractions, malls, night spots, Pudong International airport. I bet no other cities in the world beats the cost of ~USD1.20 from airport to city centre via metro within 45mins. Taxi boarding fare of 14RMB takes you anywhere within 3km.
Hotel room has everything you need except shaver for guy. Wardrobe is small and poor condition.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Pass The Bund's sightseeing tunnel ride (50RMB one way, 70RMB return). Better spent on Maglev ride (50RMB one way) from or to the airport plus you save 10RMB if you use transportation card.

The location of the hotel is excellent! It's settled in the middle of Nanjing Road East, so we can get to 2 metro station within 10 minutes walk, and we can get to the Bund in 15 minutes walk. The room is pretty quiet considered it's location, room size is good.
However, we found hair in the bathtub, so it was a bit gross.
