Good value basic place to put up

This is a no thrills hotel that is in a convenient location and relatively clean for China standards - Improve the food and reduce the cost of beverages in the bar downstairs and you might get some customers - in the few years I have stayed there I haven't seen anyone ever having a drink!

Fantastic, I have stayed here 5 times now and I always enjoy the staff and facilities the hotel is always clean and rooms large and comfortable. Only this this time after my flight I wanted a relaxing massage and was constantly pestered by the massuse to upgrade to a service I did not want and it made the whole experience tiresome. Otherwise I cannot say enough about this hotel.

Its a nice hotel at the heart of the city.You can walk to Nanjing road aiminutes.Continental breakfast and dining was fairly good for a shanghai hotel..I recommend this hotel for your business stays

i had a large room for a hotel where i installed a baby bad, mine - the hotels one is very poor with metallic structure- dangerous for children. hotel location is very good, in the bund area, close to subway stations and shopping area.
russian restaurant not a recommended place to have dinner.

On arrival of our exciting holiday to Shanghai we were welcomed by the most moody girl I've ever met. We were booked in for 8 nights and she didn't even register us by looking at us, head down no smile or welcome just asked for our name, she was just rude, which wasn't a nice welcome.
The rooms were nice and the maids were really pleasant and happy. It took 3 days to get a smile out of the girl on reception which to be honest pissed me off. The gym was appalling and don't go there if you think you will have a good workout before your day begins, treadmills were broke as was all the straps on the bikes. Rowing machine broke, seat on bike broke, weight rod broke and there was a smoke butt in the drinks holder. Awful and for the money this should be maintained but it isn't. Location is ok and some members of staff were nice, don't expect much for your money. We were pleased to leave in the end.
We did get great help from Nick who works around reception, he helped book are flights and was really nice. If you need help ask for him.
