The Eton Hotel Shanghai has really the rating it should be. Very good reception service, even we needed to wait for 1 hour to get our room due we receive a Spa voucher which was worth wise to wait.
The room was excellent equipped, the bathroom was a dream, especially the round bathing tub. Everything was perfect about the room.
The breakfast, available until 10.30am on the weekend was very good assorted and the service very well.
We will stay there again when we visit Shanghai.

I have stayed twice and would enjoy staying again, Besides the location the ameneties provided by soft spoken English staff I enjoyed my stay.The health club/ swimming pool etc was five star stuff. The security by the hotel staff to discourage unwanted was good.The checkin and checkout was smoothly performed. Only thing is that I missed out was breakfast and expected it complmentry included in my stay.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel has great facilities and the metro is across the road.one can also enjoy the Pudong river front and walk/ jog around the beautiful park .

Great location for the business traveller. Very spacious and comfortable room. Had dim sum lunch and dinner at the Cantonese restaurant in the hotel - very reasonable prices for someone from Hong Kong.
No complaints - good service and friendly staff. Everything works.

the eaton hotel is really one of best hotels in shanghai, and a great value for money. the rooms have a special layout, they don't look standard like other hotels. everything you can think about is available, in our opinion the best hotel in shanghai we ever stayed. the subway station is in front of the hotel, the location is very quiet, but might be for others a bit out of the center because for sightseeing or shopping you need taxi or subway, walking is too far. great service of all staff, really to recommend.

probably the best hotel i have ever stayed in when considering the standard of the room, the cleanliness of the hotel and the helpful and friendly nature of the staff, all of whom spoke good english. a number of restaurants to choose from although some a little pricey. gym facilities were good with pool, steam room, sauna and spa facilities. location was good and walking distance to the business district. metro stop across the road and taxi's plentiful and cheap. hotel staff, especially on executive floor were very friendly and helpful.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go and see Yu Yuan Gardens and the surrounding neighbourhood.
