High compliments all around except for room and bath lighting. Hard to shave under the spots. Difficult to control variations of room lighting from pre-set dimmer program - nightlight impossible.

langham service is good. their management knows the first 10 seconds when a guest arrive at the hotel is important as this will give the guest to judge the first impression of their services. when i arrive, a very warm face is already waiting beside your car and gave me a welcome with smile! that's many international hotel group operating in prc neglected to train their staff.
overall service is good and attentive. room decoration and size is upto level.
one thing is if the price can lower a bit will be more attractive.

From the moment we were greeted at the airport the service was the best I have recieved on my many travels. The hotel is in the nicest area of Shanghai and close to everything. The room design is excellent. The only let down is that the food can be poor sometimes, but also good at others. There is plenty of food options available outside the hotel so best to eat out.
Restaurant Tip:
Right outside the hotel is plenty of high end restaurant options which are better than the in hotel options.

All our needs were accommodated by the excellent and friendly staff. The room was all we could ask for and the location in Xintiandi was central to all that we could do in Shagjai in the time we were there.

Lovely hotel room (upgraded to Junior Suite)

I was there with my wife and the reception staff recommended an upgrade of the room at promotional price. We took the offer and was not disappointed with the Junior Suite layout and ammenities setup.
The room was cosy and neat and the view was nice. It is relatively quiet at level 16 though still can hear noise from nearby rooms when people are speaking outside my room.
I called a room in-dining service in the morning on one day, the food was nice but the waiting time was a little too long.
There is one not so pleasant encounter when we came back at night after dinner that we find out the room was not tidy up and cup not washed. I recall pressing the make up room button before leaving the hotel for activities, but they claim the service staff did not receive the make up room service indicator.
But the unhappiness resided when the manager apologize and indicated that there must be some technical glitch in the service button. They brought us to the club lounge and offered us free beverages while we wait for the room to be tidy up ready for our rest.
Overall the stay at the hotel was satisfactory and comfortable and I would come back again for my next visit to stay at this hotel.
Restaurant Tip:
Reserve seats early during festive seasons at restaurants near the hotel. Restaurant are usually packed and queue will be long.
