Hotel is situated not in the centre of Shanghai but within longer walking distance (15 min). It has a nice restaurant on the top (view at the Pudong) but unfortunately it is relatively expensive, for Chinese standards: breakfast over 100 RMB, coffee or beer 50 RMB. It is located near historical bridge, but it is under reconstruction now and will be reopened later.
It is a member of Accor group, and probably this is a reason they keep good standard of service.
Hotel rooms are spacious but I think they are far below 4* European standards.
Nice place to stay

I was quite surprised that there were few people staying at this hotel which is just across the bridge north of the Bund. Service is helpful and English is spoken by reception staff. A great breakfast is served on the 30th floor with a magnificent view of the Bund. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Assistance was given to receive and send a fax without problems. Very happy overall.
Location is quiet but still close to the city centre
Great view of the river from the breakfast room
Like all Chinese hotels the beds are hard but staff very happy to provide extra blankets to soften the mattress
- Hotel Feature Tip : Have breakfast at least once on the 30th floor - it's a little pricey at 98 RMB but there's plenty of food and the view is magnificent
Good impression

I would definitely go back to this hotel if I visit Shanghai again.
Room is perfect, cozy couch and comfy bed. The bath stall was a little clogged but they got it fixed in no time. Best impression is for reception staff, really friendly and kind enough to recommend places to see for the first time visitor like me.
Breakfast in the hotel is too expensive and waitresses weren't so nice when we only ordered lowest price dishes.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Better go out and find good restaurants.
A cheap and cheerful choice!

The staff at this hotel was helpful and knowledgeable (suffice for a few who didn't speak any english). The laptop rental is only 1000 yen for the night, which is way better than you'll get at any cyber cafe. The hotel also offers a cheap (1300 yen) buffet breakfast that I highly recommend. The room was quite small and outdated, but clean. Another great selling point of this hotel is the fact that it's very close to the train station, I didn't have to lug my bags too far!
The hotel is a bit far from anything exciting, but there is a bike rental shop just a few blocks outside. It was well worth it to rent one to ride around town for the day.
- 5 minutes away from Kyoto station
- Cheap laptop rentals
- 2 minutes away from Bike Rental Shop
- Small room
- Not much to do in area
Great value for the money

- Restaurant Tip : Be careful particularly with restaurants on the Bund as they appear to "have no menue" and then charge you outrageous amounts of money for your meal.
