A relaxed and convenient location

The Panorama was recommended to me by friends and lived up to expectations as an affordable and convenient hotel. While the staff did not all speak fluent English (and I have NO Chinese) they went out of their way to help. I felt relaxed and at home here as they were friendly and the room was more than adequate with good space around me. Cleanliness is important to me and I felt that this hotel maintained high standards. That is critical in making a guest feel at home. I would definitely use this hotel again should I return to Shanghai .

Nice view of the city skyline, both the new Pudong district and the old Bund district

We chose a room with a view of the Bund. I must say the view is superb from the window. Much better value-for-money compared to the Shanghai Mansions if the view of the Bund is an important criteria.
Require 15 min walk to Nanjing East Road for shopping and for subway access. Quite a walk
Hotel dining area is under rennovation. They used a hotel room to serve breakfast, packed in a box. Makes you feel like a refugee queueing for food at a distribution centre. Temporatry problem though.

The breakfast is rather disappointing and this is somewhat under expectation for a 3-4 star international hotel. What is even worse is that I was notified that nothing (even a box) will be ready for me after 7am. I then would have to leave the hotel really early to catch my flight - without saying, with my empty stomach.

Great location but old room facilities

I stay for 3 days there, the location is very strategic, i feel enough for business trip like i did. But the hot water facility at the bathroom is not worked, and the restaurant is under renovation, so not comfort for the guest.

Great location, great view and helpful staff
the location is very near to main attractions like the bund, nanjing road, sightseeing tunnel.

it's just a walking distance to river area where to have great view to the skyscraper (oriental tv tower and all the tower), tourist info centre and nanjing road. i could see the oriental tv tower from my window room, but at very sharp angle.
there is one family mart nearby as well.
we arrived in the morning, and we can checked in at 9 am, which we appreciate a lot after a midnight flight.
not all staff can speak english though. most are friendly and helpful.
the room is clean and quite spacious. good choice

This is NOT a hotel. It's a service residences. The bathtub was leaking. We didn't expect it to be the same as the photos but that was way below our expectation. The furnitures were sorta dirty and old. I even saw cockroaches (plural). I will not book this place ever again. It was a waste of money.
