An average hotel
Small basic but cosy hotel

Situated in a side lane, the hotel is quiet but accessible to public transport. A few shopping malls can be found in the vicinity where one can find eateries. Hotel is rather basic in facilities. Room is cleaned and bed linen changed everyday. Hotel staff like front desk and bell hops are friendly but not warm. One peculiar thing is a chambermaid will knock in the evening to help close your curtains in the evening, much to my annoyance. Who doesn't know how to close the curtains?

The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to MRT stations .
Nice surrounding with easily available restaurants and shopping malls

Hotel staff was very helpful and spoke fairly decent English. Room and washroom were spacious and comfortable. Location was great - short cab ride to the nightlife area of the French concession, many restaurants malls, and subway stops around. As with most of China, always get your hotel written in Mandarin to show cab drivers who usually lack even basic English. Would definitely stay hear again in future visits to Shanghai.

The good - Very large and nicely equipped room.
The not so good:
Location is difficult ... My taxi driver from the Pudong Maglev station could not find the place. There is no selection of restaurants within a 10 or 15 minute walk ... But plenty if you want to walk 20 minutes.
No Wifi -- but have LAN in each room
I liked the hotel but not the location ... For the price, this hotel is great, provided the location fits with your needs.

We stayed there for 4 days and were really impressed by the kindness of the staff. They've always been nice and ready to help. And the location is really the best, not far away from the metro station, facing directly to the park, you may enjoy both convenience and quietness.

This was a really nice place. Helpful that several people spoke English. The only problem was the the AC didn't work in my room. Didn't report it as I got in late and was leaving early, but otherwise everything was nice.
Hotel Feature Tip:
They have massages available at the hotel. They'll send a person to your room for a massage at no extra charge. Very nice.

the hotel is a good bargain for price and it is in a good district for shopping and walking around. it is about 15 minutes walk from the metro shopping area (lots of malls and upscale items) and in the opposite direction it is about 15 minutes from the bar district. i would not recomend a long stay at the hotel but we are a young couple and enjoyed our time. the room was spaceous and comfortable. the major negative is it is far from nanjing road and the fun stuff near the bund river. the staff have some language limitations but are very friendly and try their best to fix anything.
Restaurant Tip:
there are quite a few nice little authentic chinese restuarants within walking distance of this hotel.

breakfast is not fantastic though and dining area not very organised .
not much choice for in-house restaurant too .
