the location is near the rail station the room is a bit too small
the tv is too old
although the hotel is situated near the rail station, it is difficult to get on taxi if one is not familiar with shenzhen, the lock was just broken by accident, and that I hv waited for long before the staff came to repair. however, the hotel did not charge for repairing the lock...
overall, the facilities are well-equipped.
i think i should be staying at that hotel in the future.
just that some of the staffs at reception do not speak english.

Has a nice view room , near to the railway station to HK and metro station. Walking distant to the Luohu shopping centre less eating areas and quiet at night, very different from dongmen area

the food and beverages facilities were good, the bell boys and doorman were helpful. the hotel needs freshen up. Is a grand hotel but ageing, desperately need refurbishment all round and particularly the hotel room, some electrical socket did not work, the curtain hard to draw, the bathroom door cracks, the water tap no good, cushions of the sofa had its days, no LCD TV in the room is unacceptable nowadays in any Hotel let alone a 5-star one. I will stay there again only when the room price is lower and/or after renovation. 5-star looking hotel but have a 3-star accommodation. The location is good but need more lighting outside the main front door, it is dark.

Clean, friendly, well stocked and quiet. carpets will like to be retired First time got a free upgrade to a deluxe. Second stay I just booked for a deluxe room. I like the view of the CN/HK boarder. Rooms are clean, well stocked with what is needed. Beds are soft for the CN standards. Staffs were always friendly. The look of the lobby and other premises are like a 5 star hotel. Some details of the rooms will give them a 4 star internationally. But I was very satisfied with my stay and will stay again. Also the convenience of having the Train Station, SZ Subway, Bus Station and the connection between CN and HK right next to the hotel makes this place even better.
Restaurant Tip : Although at glance seems that there isn't any restaurants around, there is a shopping strip right in the corner by going north and in about one or two blocks and looking west you will some restaurants including KFC.

Price, cleanliness, service time takes to book in, rooms dated, buffet could be more varied Price is my primary concern when booking a hotel and Best western I found gave me overall best value. I thought the booking in process was cumbersome and that the room was very dated with old furniture etc. The breakfast buffet while reasonably priced was not very varied however. I did find the overall service of staff in the hotel to be very good and the cleanliness of the rooms was to a good standard. Overall a pleasant stay.
Hotel Feature Tip : Hotel is across road from station for taking train to Hong Kong. It is therefore a very good location to stay in for seeing both shenzhen and hong kong

A walking distance from the Train station to Hong Kong (which was my next destination), Friendly staff, lots of entertainment within the hotel, Room View The hotel is value for money, within walking distance from the train station, taxi rank and shopping malls, not far from the Shenzhen CBD, and staff that is eager to assist whenever called upon.
Hotel Feature Tip : Promote the hotel entertainment areas more and incentives guests that use them.

Price, English Speaking, Lobby Rooms need to be upgraded, breakfast should be free (as other hotels in the area), close to shopping and railway Hotel is ok for the price. English speaking staff is a plus and the lobby is nice but the rooms need an upgrade. The hotel is rated 5 star but the rooms are more like 2 or 3 star.

Great front desk, large room and very clean. The Chinese restaurant was over priced and not very good. Upon check in, they had overbooked but they upgraded me immediately without me asking and did not try to charge me a higher price. The housekeeping staff was prompt and cleaned my room very well. The internet connection was perfect and fast enough for my business e-mails including sending some rather large files. I was very happy with the quality of room and service especially with the great price I got via argoda.
Travel tip : Close to shopping and railway station. Other restaurants are within walking distance.

Close to Shenzhen station, the price is cheap.
Old building, small room, bad breakfast, Limited English communication, Noisy construction work at Lobby This is the worst hotel among many hotels I ever stayed in China. However, it is also the cheapest. Therefore if you do not expect more than what you paid, it might be just as you imagined. The inside of the hotel is nothing like a "Five Star" hotel, and the staffs too. As the access from the station is pretty complicated, I recommend you to get a taxi to get there even the hotel is very close to the station.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : "China Folk Culture Villeges" was fun! I enjoyed a thrill ride hung a safety sling over a lake.

Clean. Good value. Location very convenient for HK border and Shenzhen Railway Station. In my room the furniture looked a bit out-of-date, though it was clean and in good condition. Overall I was satisfied with this hotel for my one night stay. The rooms are reasonably spacious. The room decor and furniture is a few years old. However, it is clean and still in good condition. (I heard that the Excutive Floor was recently refurbished, so the decor should be more modern there). The hotel is literally 100m from the HK border crossing at Luohu/Lowu and is right opposite the Shenzhen Railway Station.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Dafen artists village is worth a visit. It costs about RMB30 from the hotel in a taxi.

Fantastic location, great and expansive lobby, well furnished room A little old, maybe late 80s style with a brownish tone that I don't really like. I would most definitely stay here again, given the price and location. In the morning I was able just walk right over to the CRH train to get to Guangzhou or walk through the border to Hong Kong. I asked one bellhop how to get to the train station to go to Guangzhou and he was very straightforward, however, another bellhop try to sell us a taxi ride to Guangzhou for 600 CNY. I didn't appreciate that at all.
The room was well appointed, but a little retro (not on purpose).
Breakfast was a little sparse. I would stay here again simply because of the location and price.

even when you set it to the lowest temperture The staff is friendly and helpfull.
Location of the hotel is good near main shopping areas as well as near dinning places.
Easy to access to taxi and taxi drivers have no problem on location.
Good dinning option at the hotel.
Pricing quite reasonable but can be better to attract the travel industry ... eg people from the travel/airlines trade.
