This was my first visit to the hotel and I chose it because it was half the price of the nearby Shangri-la Hotel. I booked two "Executive Deluxe" rooms on the 12th floor. As far as Asian hotels go, I would give this a 4-star rating. The rooms are slightly smaller that 5-star rooms. Being near the railway station; only a few times did I hear the noise of the trains. The rooms had installed double-pane windows to cut down on noise (from trains and Chinese divers who use their horns as much as their gas pedals). The cable TV was good and free of censorship of PRC monitors. Only real complaint was that the staff was noisy bringing up supplies and food to the 12th floor for morning breakfast.
Near the LoWu checkpoint and Shenzhen main railway station.
The staff's English is not the best (like 5-star hotels) but good enough.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Beware of the many people offering "personal services" to towards the south side of the hotel and near the Shangri-La. If you are a Caucasian male, expect many offers of personal "services".
