Dongmen is famous for street goods, cheap bargains and imitation goods. If these are not what you look for, you may opt to stay somewhere else, perhaps nearer to Windows of the world.
- Restaurant Tip : Try the road side food. Grilled oysters and meat (pork, lamb) are one of the must try. Also, try the salt-cooked prawns. They are good!
I personally like the area kexueguan (metro stop) more for the shopping and food it offers despite the famous Dongmen as the shopping district.
