Very close to Dongmen market and some night spots.

Staff lacks proper training. 2 elevators for 20 floors. CONSTRUCTION ongoing for at least the next month from 9am- 8pm

As stated above, the location is great. Very walkable to the market, subway, and even the train station. This is a good place to stay if you are going to be out and about for most of the day and need a convenient place to get to for a night's rest. The bad...the staff needs to be retrained. If they have a problem, instead of trying to figure it out themselves first, they will call you in your room to help them fix it. First, they called me after I checked in for a copy of the agoda reservation, which they later didnt need. Then, the called again the next day asking if I was staying an extra day when my reservation is clearly for 2 days. Next comes a staff wanting to exchange room keys. That is followed by another knock on the door offering 2 bottles of water. Lastly, there's another phone call asking when would be a good time to clean the room. For someone trying to get a bit of rest in the afternoon, this is awful!! It is NOT good customer service to keep contacting the customer! After I check in to a hotel, I do not want to hear from the staff. I'm paying good money to be on vacation and be allowed to rest and not to help the staff with their confusion or be disturbed. The poor staff performance may mean little when you book the room, but when you have to deal with it during your stay, it's another story. And also, you will hear some hammering going on during the day as they renovate a floor in the hotel.
