friendly services from the staff, convinient to move around as the subway just right under the hotel basement. the famous electronic market and seg plaza just within 5 minutes of walking distance. 10 minuts by subway to the dongmen old street (the street bazaar). the restaurants in the hotel are nice & serving good food. overall is good except that one of the room is not ready upon we were checking in at almost 4pm.
Shopping Tip:
The electronic market which sells smart phones, mp3/4, laptops and other electronic parts just within 5 minutes walking distance.

I always stay Huagiang Plaza Hotel. They have clean, comfortable and well decorated rooms. Also very good placement. But the breakfast is terrible..

Good location for techies and gadget buyers

if you're looking to buy electronics, you are right smack in the centre of the world's mecca for variety and competitive pricing.
it's 3 minutes walk to the famous seg electronics building.
also, it's right on top of a train station so pretty convenient.
however, it being a electronics haven, you won't find many good restaurants there although there is still plenty of good local food everywhere around.
my room was pretty big with floor to ceiling windows. however, the feel was more 3 star than 4. the room, while clean, wasn't of the completely clean feel as well.
one point, gym is totally disappointing. it was in a corridor.
the top floor housed masseues hanging out in the 'gym' in their pajamas, which was what i encountered when i thought i'd go for a workout. did some push-ups in my room instead.
breakfast was not good.
all in all, though, value for money.

opt for the non-breakfast choice.

Very Clean room. HBO channels. Bath tubs. Bright lighting. Staffs can communicate in English. Right beside SEG Electronics Market. the tube/train system is just beside the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
go for the dimsum lunch which is very value for money and good

I have booked an executive suite with a promises that include an executive lunch but the lunch floor was under construction and when I complained there was no respond from management I have paid full rate !!!! And it was noisy because of the work they are doing

Good Value for a 5- star hotel

I was taken by surprise by the rooms at this hotel. Its a local 5-star hotel, not as nice as an internationally branded one, but its good as a 4-star international brand. New rooms, nicely done and clean and well size bathrooms with rain showers etc.
Located near the electronics city for good local retail shopping and retail malls with easy access to food including fast food (KFC) and starbucks. All within 2 mins walk (Starbucks is in the same building as the hotel).
